I think you should ask a doctor what the medical definition of somebody's "body going limp" is

Yeah Groves was buzzed. Fighters get buzzed in fights. Froch got buzzed. Nobody needed saving from injury in there but if anyone did it would be Froch for taking big, big punches round after round. The ref was biased. If the roles were reversed he wouldn't have stopped it and you wouldn't be saying he should have.

nothing different to the pascal , taylor , dirrell , ward and groves fights . fighter A will fight on his strengths does not mean fighter B as the same strengths as and can implement fighter A,s strengths , vice versa froch was never going to be as quick as groves and have the foot work groves as , now where as groves took beating after beating and looked comfortable :huh

Exactly Froch has taken bombs of Pascal, Kessler x2, Taylor, Groves and more. That's how you get serious health issues. Repeated head trauma, the more punishment you take, the higher your chances of something bad happening.

As a referee you can't have one rule for one fighter and another rule for the other fighter.

It's actually sickening to think about the amount of devastating shots to the head that Froch has eaten through his career. I worry for his health when he gets older.

:bart it only takes one punch depending on that persons puch resistance , not saying that many beatings wont cause damage but groves is known to be chinny

whilst that is true, people clearly have different punch resistances. there would be either no fights or more deaths your way. or we can judge fighters on their legs and eyes and tone each round, each minute, each time they are in trouble.

clearly though the ref didn't check G-kid before he waved it off, that's contentious.

Irrelevant. Was Mago known to be chinny? If anything those with better chins take more blows and sustain more brain damage. Doesn't matter anyway. The ref has to treat both boxers the same. Can't let biased perceptions about being chinny or being an iron-jawed warrior come into it. Which is exactly what Groves thinks happened btw.

I agree. I think he needs to develop a defense, retire or only fight weak punching, poor opposition.

no that's stupid, if you treat a wimp chin the same as an average chin you may end up killing the wimp chin. like I said, your way results in either more deaths or more premature stops.... whihch what you are arguing against btw.

Oh f*ck off you drama queen. If you don't want hurt fighters to be allowed to continue then Froch should have been stopped in the first round.

No that's unfair. The only way to be fair is to treat them equally. you can't have biased, unfair officiating. If one chin is such a wimp he will just get KO'd/TKO'd anyway or he shouldn't be in the ring at all.

that's somewhat unfair for you to inflect on peoples global rights, just because you want to defend your point of view here.

if you have to be unfair on a global scale in order to win one argument about one person, you aren't winning that argument.

The people who are saying Groves was done and that a Froch stoppage victory was inevitable are the same people who were saying that the fight was a pointless mismatch in the first place, that Groves had no chance and would get battered and stopped pretty quickly.

Well Groves had already proven you lot wrong by outboxing and dropping Froch and if he'd been allowed to continue, maybe he would of further proven you wrong by showing he doesn't have a bad chin and is tough and durable enough to weather the storm and see out the fight.

    But now we'll never know.
