Well if they could go several years without agreeing on a split I see no reason to think they're going to start now especially if you think 20% is what he should get. Fact is, neither fighter is going to agree to a 20-30% split that's just ridiculous to think that's an option.

You're not really proving your point in the least because if you're correct and the judges are corrupt then they are corrupt under the current system and we might as well not watch the fight, because according to you, the outcome, baring a knock out is going to be suspect.

So changing it the way I suggested isn't going to add or subject from it if it's already corrupt.

The fact is neither fighter is going to be eating beans out of a can anytime soon, so this arguing about who deserves what is pointless if it means we never get to watch them actually fight. Personally I couldn't give a **** how much each on makes, I just want to see a fight.

Actually they have agreed on a split back in 2009. Pac refused it because of test issues.

    But that aside

How am I not proving my point? It's entirely possible for either party to rig it up by buying out the judges. Even if they do as you say, have 9 judges 1 hour before the fight and choose 3 at random, you could still have bought out those 9 judges.

Buying out those 9 judges will probably cost less than what you're going to earn going by your plan of having 10% awarded to the winner.

That could easily be 20-30 million dollars.

Those two haven't had a KO in years now so what makes you think that a KO/TKO will happen if they ever fight? I mean it could but the chance isn't high. So most likely the fight will go to the scorecards and that's where corruption will take place.

My point is if you truly believe the judges are going to be bought regardless of the compensation to the fighters (ie the status quo), then why would you watch the sport?? Simple question.

and there's absolutely nothing you've said that can't be true under the current system verses what I proposed. Do you honestly think the decision by a judge which could determine the fight and future marketability of either fighter is worthless under the currently compensation system?

How is it circular? People will have a much bigger INCENTIVE to cheat if they knew that they would stand to gain 20-30 million dollars if they get the decision? Is that hard to understand? There is good reason as to why boxing doesn't work this way. There is a guarantee/purse which a fighter gains whether they win or lose.

Determining a fighter's pay on the result is ******ed and will never work in the boxing game. That's the same as determining how much a worker should get paid given the result of their work. It's completely ******ed.

You cannot do that in the real world. Salaries are guaranteed. You can fire the man afterwards, but you cannot determine how much standard pay he gets from how he produces. (Bonuses are a completely different thing).

You don't understand how the boxing game works and how easily one party can influence the decision.

If you're trying to tell me every fight is manipulated then why are we watching the sport?

And if you're trying to tell me judges can be bought, then they can be bought just as easily under the current compensation rules as what I proposed. Because out of 3 judges, each one's decision is going to be worth a lot of money to someone if it can be bought, because there's a lot of future earning power potentially being affected by the outcome of a fight like this.

I'm not saying that every fight is manipulated. I'm saying that some high profile fights tend to be filled with controversy/corruption. Of course, not all of them are.

But if we went with your suggestion, you can bet that this one will 100% be stained with controversy/corruption. You really don't think either camp will do something out of the normal to get that extra 10% (Which could be 20-30 million dollars)? If you don't, you're extremely naive, I'm sorry to say.

20-30M sounds like a lot of money unless you're already stinking rich and you don't want to spend the next 10-20 years in prison. Nevada, in particular, would not go easy on anyone cheating at anytime, much less the biggest event of the year.

When is the last time somebody was convicted for rigging up a fight?

Even the judges in the 1988 Olympic scandal got away scot-free, they only got a measly suspension and probably a lot of $ in their pockets.

C.J ross probably got a good # of paychecks herself.

It's almost impossible to prove these kinds of things. But we all know it exists.

Let's not give them any more reason to rig up the fights. Boxing is already in a dire state as it is with all these shitty decisions in the last few years.

They might not from how it stands now because the fight could be May/Pac's last bout and Arum/GBP will have nothing to lose. But if there was some sort of incentive to do so, there's no doubt that they will rig it up.

Pac has good chance against May, has to be in shape to fight three minutes of every round don't let him set , push him back , inside fight outside he won't win, Freddy should reach out to Duran to show Pac how to cut off ring, give angles , use of shoulders etc, Watch Duran Leonard 1, And Leonard more balls & power than May ( just as quick ) Manny Call Roberto.

My point is there's are kinds of incentive to rig the fight even now if that's what you thinks happening. Because look what the winner is going to receive in future revenues; it would be in the millions, so why wouldn't a fighter buy a judge once they decide to fight?

BTW, I think you're confusing "fixed" with incompetence.
