Again, you bring up the amateurs. In the pro games, fighters can operate more efficiently. Especially Direll, Bute is a paper champion btw. Froch's wins at SMW and the Super-Six are far more impressive than GGG's wins, and while I like GGG more than Froch, he isn't a 168 fighter. People underestimate how much the weight-gap and the jump from 160 to 168 is, 168 has higher level comp. GGG looks good against C-level fighters but Froch would most likely win at 168, at 160 I'd back GGG for sure.
atsch Groves > GGG. GGG ranks higher but he wouldn't beat Groves, Groves is a NATURAL 168lber and retains his speed/reflexes/timing there, GGG could very well lose that. GGG is not a 168 fighter until he proves so. And Groves beat Froch, I agree.
Their wins won't be in the ring fighting each other though. The fighters will be in the ring fighting each other. This is box.
Golovkin has an excellent chance at beating everyone at 168 including Ward. Rock solid chin, sledge hammer power, extreme accuracy, tremendous output, 12 round stamina, Iron chin, tons of experience, complete arsenal, great ring generalship, and he can cut the ring off and and force people into exchanges that they can't win. Ward would struggle to look good against a guy that hits so much harder, so much more accurately, and so much more often.
Well...I can't say for sure you're wrong but I disagree. He hasn't even fought at 168 yet, so it's impossible to judge, but an 8lb weight difference just isn't that much. At 160 he's pretty much unstoppable, and I'm guessing that puts him up there with the top names at 168 as well. Froch is pretty much 50 / 50 IMO, Groves I think he beats. You do understand that Carl Froch only fights about 4lbs heavier than GGG - he's not far bigger, and Golovkin is far more technically skilled. Groves I'm still not completely sold on - he's undeniably extremely talented and has flair, but he's yet to win at the top level. He looked very good against Froch for 7 rounds but TBH it ain't news that Froch can be outboxed. Golovkin simply doesn't give him the openings and I see a similar result with Groves getting broken down but not looking as good in the process. Ward is a different story of course, but I'd want to see him fight at 168 before deciding for sure. Thing is, to date we've not even seen GGG stretched, so it's hard to say just how good he is.
Your post is completely irrelevant. Why not confine comments about GGG to those weightclasses that he actually operates in....154 and 160.
