Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley should be #2 on the pound-for-pound list.

Yes, you read the title right!

Let me first say that Andre Ward is an excellent boxer. He deserves to be on everyone's top five pound-for-pound list after storming through the Super Six tournament without losing a single fight. He schooled Froch with a broken hand in the final of the tournament. That's pretty remarkable. When it's all said and done, I believe he will go down as the greatest super middleweight of all time. Now, with that being said, I don't think he should be ranked ahead of Timothy Bradley on the pound-for-pound list.

Bradley beat an all time great in Juan Manuel Marquez, won world titles in two different weight classes and went overseas to capture a world title. Ward has yet to accomplish those feats.

Bradley has fought the better opposition. He nearly cleaned out the junior welterweight division. He holds victories over four current titleist and has won 4 world titles.

Can anyone make an argument as to why Ward deserves to be ranked ahead of Bradley on the pound-for-pound list?

Absolutely. His schooling of JMM trumps everything that Ward did in the last 2 years.

Provodnikov beat Bradley. If you think Bradley is #2, where do you have Provo?

You watched the fight and REALLY believe Bradley won it? Provo almost killed Bradley. Bradley said he felt concussed throughout the fight. He was knocked down officially one time but, as any boxing fan knows, if the ropes hold you up that is a knock down as well, so Bradley was really knocked down 3 times in the fight. Waved off another knock down as a slip. The officiating was atrocious.

As to what Provo said, he is a gentleman. And besides, regardless of what Provo said, I saw the fight and I know Provo won it. He hurt Bradley seriously several times in the fight. Bradley landed one solid right hand in about round 3 that rocked Provo but other than that, nothing.

The general consensus was that Bradley won the fight. Provodnikov has already admitted that he lost to Bradley after watching the fight.

A strong argument can be made for number 2.
Putting Ward above him ain't problematic for me either.

I watched the fight live, i felt without the first round knockdown bradley won by a point. Don't fall into the trap that bradley was hurt more times so that instantly means he loses, he won more rounds than provod did. Theres a reason why in the 9th and 10th roach was teling provodnikov if he dont start showing him he can turn the fight around he'l stop it. I understand it was more of a motivational thing but theres no doubt he was losing the bout no matter how many times he'd hurt bradley. As soon as bradley boxed and moved provodnikov had no answer.

Howard Foster ( referee for Froch/Groves fight) would have stopped the fight right there. :yep

Ward is beating prime fighters. Bradley beat a 40 year old Marquez.
