Golovkin just got another reason to stay at 160

I don't want to call it, but I'd LOVE to see Golovkin vs Groves. I think GGG can shake up Groves -Froch didn't have the skills nor the handspeed to do it effectively- but I don't think he can bother Froch. Froch's chin, until proven otherwise, will stand against just about anything coming from a 160-168 pounder.

 

GGG would stop Groves and you'd be a fool to bet against GGG in that fight. GGG's power and technique would simply outclass him every time. Ward is GGG's only problem at 168 and that's probably a good enough reason to stay at 160 for another couple years and unify the division if anyone is man enough to climb in the ring with him.

 

Groves was cheated by Froch's referee and the BBBC is trying to convince everyone that their referee was not helping to save Froch from a loss.............

Golovkin would have knocked Froch out that night and Golovkin would knock Groves out as well, not to take anything away from Groves as he won Froch's belts that night, the fans know it and Froch's referee can't pull the wool over the fans eyes as he thinks he is doing........

 

Groves could beat any middleweight. He beat Froch like a drum but was robbed and he could probably beat Andre Ward.

 

Exactly WHO has Golovkin beaten?

Compare Golovkin's knockout of Macklin with Martinez' knockout of Macklin. Macklin gave Martinez lots of trouble, knocked him down, but he could not even compete with Golovkin..............Golovkin was also the first to stop Ishida, he stopped Ishida in the 3rd round, knocked him through the ropes and out cold, Ishida stopped Kirkland in the very first round, but could not compete with Golovkin, Paul Williams could not even hurt Ishida...........Golovkin is trying to get Martinez to fight him and Also Quillin. He will knock both of them out!!! Quillin is extremely afraid of Golovkin..............Golovkin had 350 amateur fights and I can tell it from watching him fight...............

Why is GGG bigger fish ? Whom has he beaten ?

 

People getting over excited with GGG. Yes he is a very good fighter but going up in weight fighting taller, more powerful and more skillful fighters is another thing. Remember Arthur Abrahams? Everyone was hyping that guy up. He ended up losing every super six fight barring an ex-middle weight. He's struggled in the SMW division ever since.

 

He didn't struggle due to size only, more so due to really primitive skills. That comes with having no amateur career, and undeveloped boxing instincts

 

Groves 'loss' to Carl Froch is way more impressive and proves more than any win on Golovkins resume. Groves isn't some old fragile LMW GGG can bully around the ring. Groves is bigger, faster, hits harder, better movement, actually knows how to move his head. Golovkin looked uncomfortable on the backfoot against midget Stevens. I rate GGG but the hype is too much, George makes him good boy

 

I think you're getting a little carried away. Groves is good but in the end we've not seen him beat a top fighter yet (which could admittedly be said about GGG as well).

The flash KD of Froch impressed but Groves wasn't able to capitalise on it or repeat it and appeared to be fading down the line. Golovkin fights only a few pounds lighter than Froch and is a much more skilled boxer.

FWIW I think GG-GGG has the makings of a really good fight, but I'd certainly favour Golovkin right now.

 

Flash KD? :huh Froch was unconscious before he hit the ground and woke up. The only reason he didnt get knocked down again is his zombie chin, no other 168er or below would have stood up to those shots in the 6th. He also got very cagey after being hurt, pawing that jab out with no confidence and stopped throwing his combos and leaping in

More skilled, not really. Golovkin is too easy to hit and looks uncomfortable on the backfoot, has no head movement whatsoever. Groves is faster, hits harder, better lateral movement, can fight on the front foot and going backwards.

Golovkin fans are the ones getting carried away
