Well I provide accounting and financial advice for a living and I can say with 100% certainly that neither of us knows what he has to take. Doesn't matter if he's borrowing money on a daily basis, it matters what his assets and liabilities are.

I also know that he very likely has paid money in the US because they don't let you take money out of the country without remitting a fair chunk of it to the government for taxes. In fact this often means when you actually file a tax return you end up getting huge refunds. I don't expect you to know any of this, but this is how it works. And it's very common for one country's government to want proof that taxes have been paid in other jurisdiction prior to relieving someone of the tax burden in their jurisdiction, which appears to be the case here.

    http://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-athletes/richest-boxers/manny-pacquiao-net-worth/

Manny Pacquiao net worth: Manny Pacquiao is a boxer from the Philippines who has a net worth of $100 million. During his career, Manny Pacquiao has won 54 out 61 matches with two draws. Pacman's only recent loss, to Timothy Bradley on June 6th, 2012, was widely criticized as being a massive error in judgement with many people claiming the fight was fixed. Beyond the controversial Bradley loss, Manny has beaten Miguel Cotto, Juan Manuel Marquez, Shane Mosely, Oscar De La Hoya and many more talented opponents. Manny Pacquiao is considered to be the pound for pound #1 boxer in the world. He is also the only boxer to win titles in 7 different weight classes. Along the way to glory, Pacquiao has amassed an impressive net worth mainly from boxing purses but also from endorsements, promotions and pay-per-view revenue sharing.
On March 13 2010 Pacquiao was supposed to fight Floyd Mayweather in what could have been the most profitable boxing match up in history. Experts predicted the bout would break the pay per view record of 3 million purchases resulting in $200 million in gross revenues. Of that $200 million, Manny could earn as much as $80 million.

If this is flat broke I want to be as broke as he is.

I wouldn't be basing a future fight on Pac needing money. If that's Mayweather's mindset I don't see a fight happening. And as I said before, who cares what the split is, Are you getting any of it?

Fact is I just want to see them fight, I only care about the split in the context of making the fight happen. Manny could agree to 10% of the purse and no PPV revenue and I'd be delighted if it meant they actually were going to fight.
