this version of pac, floyd has a chance.

the 2008-2009 version. pac will beat floyd to a pulp.

remember, floyd wasnt on trt yet during the marquez fight.

so he has to cheat marquez on weight to make sure marquez wont hurt him.

he wont be able to keep up with the pac that beat hatton/cotto.

too quick, too fast, too explosive from a southpaw stance and granite chin.

there was nothing on floyd's that is going to deter pac.

    floyd had no chance.

too good to be true, must be peds.:patsch

Gon on Youtube and look at them both working a heavy bag or even a double end bag. Pacquiao is on another level of speed compared to Mayweather. Floyd lost his speed ages ago, he doesn't have quick hands anymore. Well he does but he chooses to potshot instead of throwing lightning fast combinations like Pacman.

Manny, is fast enough to miss 1,000 OFF 1,261 PUNCHES against joshua clottey! I notice none of you manny clowns, have noticed this. floyd has too many weapons in his arsenal for manny. Does many have the infighting skills off duran V leonard one
for instance? All thes big guys, manny has been fighting apart from juan, are strictly left hookers! Manny, lacks ttechnique, footwork, balance, dexterity, bodypunches, reach, patience, plan! DISPUTE THIS ANALYSIS FOLKS!

You are wrong. Floyd scored with his jab all night against Guerrero. He has used his jab a lot against Southpaws. Go back and watch tape and you will see that. He also uses it as a range finder but he mixes things up.

He was stabbing the **** out Robert with that jab as well.

most of his jabs tangled with robert's lead hand. you are right, lead left becomes a range finder not a scoring jab. yeah, occasionally, he did tthwrow jabs but they were his main scoring punches. lead rights wiere the ones.

just compare his jab connection with a southpaw and orthodox, it is night and day.

just the stance, you can already see the difference. he i smore squared up against southpaws, high guard and more offensive minded.

All you analysis is based on what Floyd did in other fights.
Floyd is the very best at making adjustments on the fly.
He always finds the weakness and exploits it.
Manny is faster and probably hits harder too, but it won't help much.
Floyd is a genius and Mann'ys lack of technical skill would be shown all 12 rounds.
    Floyd by UD 8rds - 4rds.

Manny is physically faster. Floyds brain is faster though.

No he isn't more squared up against Southpaws. Yes he uses the high guard when on the outside. On the inside is when he goes to the shoulder role bc the Southpaw advantage is taking away bc the Southpaw is squared up on the inside. Floyd also uses his high guard against Orthodox fighters as well. He mixes up his defense. His defense isn't just about the shoulder roll.

Now to answer the thread Floyd is quicker than Manny and there is a difference. From point A to point B Floyd is faster bc of his natural hand speed, his timing, and his reflexes. Also Floyd would beat Manny and it wouldn't even be close.

Contrary to what people may think, Floyd is a horrible style matchup for Manny. He has fast hands, better reflexes, ring IQ, Reach that he knows how to use and better footwork and can match Manny's foot speed. So many people confuse Manny's foot speed with foot work and Manny's foot work is not that great. Also to beat Floyd you better bring a jab to the table and Manny just doesn't bring that. Not only will Floyd score with the jab but he will control the range.

JMM was able to control Manny just by taking small steps back. Floyd will get back faster, use his jab to the gut and head to also control the rang and keep him out of Manny's reach. Also Manny won't be throwing 100 punches per round and his output will be cut down big time. He will be forced to think and that will be his downfall. :deal

you are also basing your argument that floyd will adjust based on his performances on previous fights.

will outconditioned his opponents as much he figured them out.

floyd does the same stuff over and over again, against southpaws or orthodox.

it is his conditioning that allows him to gear up as the fight went on.

against pac, they would be at the same level all through out.

people just like to call it figuring out, when in fact it could be floyd just outcondition them and the opposition getting tired.

Mayweather, it doesn't matter how fast you are, its how you use your speed and how a boxer maintains speed in a fight, that determines how fast you are in the boxing ring. It also depends on your PED supplier. The real question should be, who has the hottest ****?

Floyd, is a more rounded boxer than manny will ever be. Have you people not seen
the quotes/ unquotes from freddie roach?

I've seen plenty of Roy jones. Mayweather has the quickest reflexes to me. Defensively, to be able react to the punches the moment they are thrown. Offensively, the pull counter, and dip under his opponents counter punch. Roy Jones was a faster puncher, sure, but so is Meldrick Taylor, Ray Leonard, Pacquiao, Mosley(prime).

Roy Jones had the fastest reflexes in the history of boxing. For example if you watch that 1,2 he landed on Reggie Johnson you will notice that he still moved his head and body to avoid a return punch from Johnson. Floyd is a level or 3 beneath Roy in terms of reflexes and so is everyone else in the history of the sport.

100%, I just don't agree with bashing fighters, and it seems that is what you are trying to do with Floyd. I think this is the most entertaining fight for Floyd, because of Pacs speed and stance.

I think the chin argument was settled last year.

Mayweather is more accurate against southpaws. I believe Floyd will have him timed by the 2nd or 3rd round.

Southpaw stance is tricky for any orthodox fighter, but you are over compensating it here, and underestimating Floyd's success against southpaws. The one southpaw fighter Floyd faced that looked like he had a chance to win was Judah. What people forget to mention is how Judah and Floyd sparred each other and knew each other very well, and Floyd still broke him down.

History has shown us that Pacquiao doesn't look his best against counter punchers. He loves come forward brawlers. He feast on them, and last Saturday was early Thanksgiving. Pacquiao is an elite fighter, and if Floyd has a contemporary equal it is/was him but Mayweather wins this. We will just have to respectfully disagree here.

I knew my opinion wouldn't be a popular one, but I still disagree. I think that the reason why Floyd is able use his shoulder roll defence, and change the position from which he is defending is because his reflexes are so good. Also the reason why he sometimes over reacts to feints. Look at the pull counters from JMM, Mosley, N'dou. He gets right out of reach, comes back lands his counter, and gets out of the way of his opponents counter.
