    How's about a breakout star of the year.

    Has to be Stevenson or Kovalev IMO (depending of course on what happens Saturday)- I suppose Provo could be in the running too in terms of popularity, though arguably he hasn't achieved as much.



    Inoue has to be a top new prospect as well.

    good feedback, thanks. except for a few big highlights, 2013 was a pretty mediocre year for boxing. mayweather-alvarez and pacquiao-rios were kinda anti-climatic. so were trout alvarez and broner-malignaggi and garcia-matthyse...but the year's not over yet. hoping to see something spectacular in rigo-agbeko and broner-maidana.

    lara-angulo is one fight i'll never forget. back and forth action, drama, knockdowns, countless clean shots to the head ...i rank it up there with hearns-hagler, brown-trice I, corrales-castillo and chiquita gonzalez-sorjaturong. angulo will never be the same again.
