Asked if Mosley would fight Mundine again, Mosley also plays it down: "What's done is done," he says.

I guess yeah if it just started giving him too much pain in the fight then fair enough, but it's the kinda thing that will raise eyebrows.

Possibly it was giving him pain before the fight, but he decided to go ahead and do a few rounds anyway to get the payday - not that I'd really begrudge him at this point in his career but still....

    :pc

What a horrible morning all in all.

I actually woke up in time, around when they were doing the weird ring entrances, only to find a rainstorm has completely knocked out my cable modem. After many unsuccessful attempts to get my laptop to connect I had to give up and start watching on my 3G phone, which becomes impossible to do when shifting browser tabs (you can only view one at once) to pull up one for posting - even in the best of lag-free circumstances, which this wasn't...audio outta sync, bad picture, stop-and-go, whole shebang...

...and then, you have the 'event' itself. :-(

59-55 Mundine. 1st to Mosley, basically 'on spec', and then it just unraveled. Mundine was too slick, too aboriginal. His jab and defense carried the day, except for a wooly moment when Mosley opened up (3rd maybe?). Mosley himself was actually rocked by some right hands throughout.

    ...and that ending. :sad2

    Anthony Mundine stopped Shane Mosley.

I'm going to go pour some "Irish creamer" into my coffee and try and wrap my head around this...

i think mosley made it up in his mind he was going to do that. maybe even like 3rds prior or 2. he was fighting in werid hrs he's not custom to, he's 50 (not really). the size was to much and mundine's jabs and mosley quit. thats damn shame shane, just retire damn. but when you have hopkins at 90 (not really) fighting then how can mosley retire ?

    roy jones jr
    shane mosley
    james toney
    evander holyfield

    all need to officially retire.

hopkins get's koed he makes the list lucky mofo.

KO win for the hilarity of Australian commentators. They never fail to impress, sounding for all the world that their boxing knowledge extends no further than the piece of paper on the desk in front of them.

    Morning IB.

I ended up giving 1 and 3 to Mosley, but both coulda gone the other way. I was actually streaming with laggy sound so I just turned the sound off in the end (possibly why I ended up scoring slightly closer to Mosley early) and avoided the Oz commentary, though I'm sure it was entirely impartial.

Anyways...yeah. Sugar Shane - how did it come to this:roll:.
