Looks durable enough- has been in with the likes of Pianeta, Pulev and Wach without getting stopped early.
Cant argue, needs to build confidence and being on an undercard out of the UK is a good thing in my eyes.
Really backing big Price, hope he can get his career back on track. Very honest fighter who wasn't managed correctly. Hopefully know we'll see him in with more durable guys where he can learn with each fight instead of blowing them away, then gradually increase the level of comp. Say what you want about him, but his power is freakish which makes him entertainment.
It's going to be interesting to see what Booth does with him. He isn't the same sort of fighter as Haye/Groves.
A decent comeback fight for Price. I've seen Orlov a few times including his appearance on PrizeFighter and he's slow as hell without any skills whatsoever but he can be durable and give Price a few rounds.
How long can he go without facing Chisora before having to relinquish the British title? It's not the right time for it but I'd love to see that fight maybe a year from now, once Price has a bit of momentum going.
Just looked at the guys record. Not too bad.Hes a big lad, carries more flab than Dave, maybe this will be targeted. For some reason,Ive got more trust in Dave actually sharing a ring with this fellow, and not a replacement, than if it was a British promotion.Fingers crossed.Looks like were going to see a bit of him on Boxnation.Great stuff, the comeback starts here.
Well if I was Price's management I'd be looking at another durable journeyman January/early feb, then Lucas Browne late March/early April and if he were to get past these fights successfully I'd then put him up against Chisora some time in July/August. I'd love to see Price vs. Chisora and Fury they would be great fights.
A date for the fight should be announced next week- if it's too early Price might vacate and Chisora would have to fight Ian Lewison/Michael Sprott for the title.
This was a funny pic on Adam booths twitter. https://twitter.com/boxingbooth/status/405756486301011969 Obviously set up but i don't think it'll be long before we see something like this in the ring as no matter what Booth teaches Price, once he gets in the ring it'll go out the window.
He flies under the radar because he's with Goodwin but I think he'd give Chisora a decent test, probably losing late on.
