Hatton simply looked awful at 147, some fighters like May and Pac can be effective at a number of weights, Hatton is not one of them. He didn't carry the extra weight well and looked physically weak against a real Welter. He couldn't impose his fight like he could against smaller men and didn't have the skills or IQ to adapt. And yes, the situation wasn't in his favor to begin with.

The Collazo fight made it apparent he had no business at WW, but the Floyd fight was too much money and glamor to turn down.
