The farce put on last night is just an absolute disgrace to the sport of boxing .

 

he has been doing it for 10 years, except for a handful of good cards.

tell it to the fools who paid for it.

I suspect it sold better than the aborted one a couple of weeks ago though.

 

It probably did sell better than the aborted one as the news grabs showed a pretty decent crowd not sure on ppv sales though .

It was just a typical Mundine circus , from the cancellation of an undercard bout , to the fight night being delayed due to the gloves not turning up on time , to the mismatched undercards , to the farce of two blokes making their pro debuts as the lead in to the main bout , to the farce of Mosley quitting with back spasms ..
What a shocking night for boxing promotions in this country .

why? It was a decent against the odds win. Shane wasn"t prime but he was alot closer to prime than RJJ was when he fought Green and that was a decent win. It's not like SBW/Botha or the Green/Briggs fight disgrace to the sport of boxing. The U/C was a bit weak except Kwadjo-Quinlan and Flake ***erson getting beaten by Luke''who?''Turner though.

Kwadjo-Quinlan was alright the rest were meh. I got it yeah it wasn't a blockbuster but the Main Event was what I was buying it for. Mosleys win against Cano was impressive I thought he would KO Mundine at 154. Mundine did well IMO. You watch SBW/Botha and Green vs Cameron at Dannyweight a weight drained shell who had beaten SFA at CW. This and the last fight he had Geale II were the only fights I bought or watched live from Mundine since Geale I.
So 3 fights since 2009. I have bought Green-Dominguez,Green-RJJ,Green-Briggsatsch and Green-Tarver 4 fights since Dannys comeback. I mainly buy International boxing cards on a Sunday TBH and am more interested in Geale,Bika even Dib than the Mundine-Green circuses but this match up was OK IMO. Won't get him a fight with Floyd thats nonsense but this was OK.

 

Mundine-Tolliver was a farce,Mundine-Waters,Jerez,McKart were farces. Green-Siaca,Briggs,Flores were farces(I bought Green-Briggs) this wasn't a farce. Is it as good as Mayweather-Alvarez,PAC-JMM IV etc. no but not a bad fight to kick back and enjoy on a Wednesday night.
