Looks like Showtime wants to make the fight happen...

Top Rank Wants it... Manny Wants it...... Showtime Wants it...
PLUS Manny doesn't have an exclusive contract with HBO...
Part of me thinks that Arum is using the whole Showtime/HBO co-promotion idea to not burn bridges but if offered the right amount of money.... Arum will jump ship quickly

Espinoza told The Times. "I will call Arum. This is an enticing enough opportunity to do it." :good:hey

Espinoza was clear that if the bout could be made it would be on Showtime pay-per-view, citing Mayweather's exclusive deal that started with unanimous-decision victories over Robert Guerrero in May and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in September.

"HBO, for whatever reason, doesn't have an exclusive deal with Manny Pacquiao, so there's no reason it can't be on Showtime," Espinoza said.

Mayweather's advisor Leonard Ellerbe and promoter Richard Schaefer, the Golden Boy Promotions chief executive who has assisted in the promotion of all of Mayweather's fights since 2007, did not immediately return telephone and e-mail messages left by The Times Tuesday. :nono

    So far...

Top Rank on board, Manny on board, Showtime on board.... will the pressure make the Money Team be on Board?

We saw earlier this week that Floyd Sr. isn't on board, saying that Manny hasn't done enough but he has no problem with Floyd fighting Khan...

I know Floyd said he would do it if Manny signed with the money team and gave him a few fights but I believe that is a violation of the Muhamad Ali act..... I think Floyd is just holding out for more money....

Let's hope the fight get's done... :bbb

Floyd might as well box this **** out of Manny. Get another UD out of the way and make 60 million while Manny gets 20.

Honestly, I think Floyd can easily grab a close to 100 million guarantee and manny over 40 guarantee.... plus ppv's to both... it's a big enough fight, in my opinion.

Espinoza is the same guy who phased out Top Rank and everyone else from Showtime to make it GBP exclusive. Sounds promising...although i'm sure he wants it.

I wonder what sort of loyalty Arum has to HBO if this were to ever happen.

No way Floyd makes 100 million off of this. Hell the Canelo fight set major records and Floyd probably didn't make 80 million.

All I know is Arum and GBP need to sit down and work the numbers and make the fight. No back and forth in the media. Just go over the numbers, testing, and all that other stuff and make it happen.

They all messed it up and now there are no excuses while they can't act like adults and come up with something that makes everyone happy.

Showtime's a little concerned with Floyd's 40 million guarantee. No way the current list of opponents bring in much profit with Floyd's next ppv. The revenue might be just enough to cover the expenses. They put a lot of money into the Alvarez fight.

Side note, I wonder how HBO will take this?

    :dunnowha:Lets make it happen!:dunnowha:

There's potential for 200$ mill on the table for this fight.
    60-40 and lets do it.

Floyd can get 120$ mill to get his face pounded in.
Lets face it, he will never be the same once he loses that 0 and his health.
    Its worth it baby.:vonnecunt

Not sure how you concluded Top Rank is 'on board' (LINK)

In other words, Arum is already putting up roadblocks (insistence on HBO involvement) and the can't-shut-up Top Rank suddenly has no interest in talking about it in public.

I also find it interesting that Arum acknowledges that he's received calls from Espinoza in the past. We know Shaeffer and GBP have also tried to contact him in the past to discuss a potential fight. We know Mayweather has personally called Manny to discuss the fight.

Now, which side is actually 'ducking' this fight again? :think

Floyd is probably home sweating his ass off right now hearing that ShowTime is trying to make the fight. TMT is working overtime on what roadblock to use if ShowTime approach them on a deal to fight PAC. When HBO boxing president tried to get Floyd on board he shitted in his pant.

I hope the fight gets made. It wasnt what it once was but it'd still be very big and its the best fight out there for both imo.

It might also help open the door to more GB-TR fights in the future, if both could work together to make this fight happen.

Part of me says when will we let it go the fight wont happen, another part says with the money involved it just has to eventually.

thing is, if showtime wants to be the sole network broadcasting the PPV, it ain't going to happen, especially that now that TR has the full backing of HBO.
