How come Lewis avoided Switch Hitters?

    And Lewis rematched his losses.

Mike Tyson in 1996, stripped of his WBC belt for refusing to fight the KING: Lennox Lewis. This is well documented.

Lewis tops Tyson no doubt, but he was more comfortable being the catcher against aggressive smaller men.

Wlad Klitschko loves fighting smaller men

Lewis's era didn't really have giant super-heavies until the Grant fight, watch the commentary and they'll talk about how it's one of the first real super-heavyweight fights between two giants.

No. Lewis was offered the fight for big money or step aside money for a lot less. He chose to walk away.

Bowe DUCKED Lewis, Lewis destroyed him in the amateurs and Bowe threw his belt in the trash.

He didn't fight Ruiz because he fought Grant instead, which there was more money involved.

Not sure about Byrd, but we all saw how he destroyed Vitali.

Foreman never wanted any part of Lewis, he's admitted this and really, he wanted Tyson, not Lewis.

Moorer NEVER pressed for a Lewis fight and he was never in the position for one really.

Witherspoon never wanted Lewis and Roy never wanted him either.

Try again, for the might Lewis conquered America!

Lewis got revenge on those 2 Americans though didn't he? :yep and he wasn't focused on the first fights. when he showed up in the rematches, those 2 got dominated and smoked.

and as for this post... Lewis had choices to make. make a mandatory against Ruiz and lose one of the titles. or make a mandatory against Grant and lose one of the titles. Grant was the much bigger fight so he obviously took that one.

same thing thing with Byrd. either that or one of the biggest fights in boxing against Tyson.

so no, Lewis didn't come close to ducking those two. they were worthless defences anyway. nobody cared for them. :deal

it seems Lewis completely wiped out Americans from the Heavyweight division full stop. they got beat so badly that the future fighters of the division didn't want any of that. that's why they have nothing but a load of pasties these days.

    how so? :huh

he fought mostly in the states. doesn't matter where you come from as long as you're good enough.

now if the UK had as much money as the states did back then, then yes, your argument would hold a little water. but not too much because Lewis was in fact... a Brit. so of course he would fly the British flag.
