yeah he might of had a habit of doing it but Cortez should have waited till Hatton started doing it to call break an not call break every time they got inside like he did before he even started braking the rules, this is irrelevant anyway because Floyd would have beating him with any referee but I just feel Cortez didn't do that good of a job.

duh. Pac's got nothing to lose fighting Mayweather. he already has defeats, got KOed a couple of times. while Mayweather has everything to lose. that's why he doesn't want none of it.

    Floyd, 11-0
Genaro, Corrales, Castillo I, Castillo II, Gatti, Oscar, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Cotto, Alvarez

    Pacquiao, 10-3-1
Marquez I, Barrera I, Morales I, Morales II, Morales III, Barrera II, Marquez II, Oscar, Hatton, Mosley, Cotto, Marquez III, Bradley, Marquez IV

This isn't their best victories, but simply a combination of the magnitude of the fight from perception as well as ranking. For example, Pacquiao's wins over Sasakul and Ledwaba are omitted due to them being at the time small fries in the casual/media/history margins/etc. when discussing the "meaningful fights" of two ATG's resumes despite those wins being better than several of the above listed for both Floyd and Pac.

My count is Mayweather: 11 and Pacquiao: 14. If we don't count repeat opponents though, the count goes to Mayweather: 10 and Pacquiao: 8.

One must consider where the fighters were at. If we ranked the above listed 25 fights from most positive/legacy boosting to the least, I believe that Mayweather comes out decisively ahead. It is furthered when you list the next "tier" of opposition among the two fighters.

    Should have happened in 2009

I always feel mayweather has the edge

But this was his legacy fight

    This was his Duran

    And he missed it

    Ruined his legacy

If i'm not mistaken...Mayweather was seeking the fight a year or so ago. Mayweather doesn't need Pac...Pac needs Mayweather and the chances of this fight happening depends on Pac wiliness to except a lot less money than what he was offered in the past.

that mayweather rant of how scary pac was sealed it.

floyd was right though, 2009/2010 pac was a beast.

Agreed Floyd should be wise and take this fight now paq is there for taking and he can make great money.

To say the truth at this point it would be cherry pick and easy victory.

When will people realize there will not be a split. Floyd will offer Manny a number plus ppv receipts.

Floyd is a fight/promoter. Manny is a fighter and Bob Arum is his promoter. There will be no split. Floyd will pay many an amount to fight and he will promote it.

Agreed at that point i thought pac could win based on being more active and domination of cotto. but Floyd still would have won as he has proved the layoffs don't hurt him at all.
