1. Ward - too slick n fast 2. Groves - slick, fast with power? Demolished GGG 3. Froch - iron chinned and fought best of best, would beatdown GGG like he did to Taylor 4. Chavez Jr - bigger and better chin then GGG 5. Canelo - K2 would not throw GGG in with the slick, quick power full Help It is what it is... gGG is good not great
i truly dont think most on here know WTF they are watchin. GGG is special with a granite chin, not paper chin like froch and he has way more power than anyone u listed , besides possibly chavez
What your instinct tell to you? To go back to the market and put produce in your anus? Your wife would say, thread starter. I know.......
I would def pick Golovkin over Chavez Jr 100% of the time as well as Canelo. Haven't seen GGG up at 168, so I'd have to think about Froch and Groves. Probably would pick both over Golovkin, at least Froch. Ward is a no brainer pick over Golovkin at the moment...
:deal The only one i see troubling GGG in this list is Ward. Purely because he is very talented. 1. Ward - too slick n fast (The most likely of the lot to get the W) Who i dont see troubling GGG 2. Groves - Hurt/Gassed against Froch = Sleeptime vs GGG 3. Froch - Clearly OP missed his last performance, GGG by KO 4. Chavez Jr - Too slow, lazy and as he performed against Martinez i see him losing. 5. Canelo - GGG is a better BOXER than Canelo. They have already sparred together and GGG continuously landed on Canelo with the much harder shots. Try again.
I agree with you on everything you say except for dismissing Froch based on one fight... and you don't seem to factor in GGG having never fought at 168 before. That said, Golovkin said that a 19 year old Alvarez was THE best opponent he's ever faced; sparring, pro, amateur, everything... He was totally serious too. That may speak volumes as to the competition Golovkin has faced (or lack of).
There is no active boxer around who could end GGG at 154 or 160 and the only boxer at 168 is Andre Ward.
I think there is also footage of GGG and Chavez Jr sparring on YT. GGG fought Andre Dirrell in the amateurs and he gave Froch a close fight. GGG also KO'd Bute who got a SMW title. Maybe young Alvarez had some skills? It's true GGG hasn't faced the best opposition but even the OP isn't naming anyone his own size who could beat him except Canelo. Personally I'm not sure whether those guys would beat GGG or GGG would beat them. I'd probably have GGG slight favourite over all of them apart from Ward.
you're comparing the resilience of a fightr who has been in with nobody, to the resilience of a fighter who has been in with everybody
I'd favor Ward to beat GGG by decision. Groves would put up a good fight but in the end Triple G is better fighter and takes him out by KO. Froch appears to be on the decline. Prime Froch I'd favor to win but the Froch from Saturday surely isn't ending hype. A year ago I figured JCC Jr. versus GGG to be toss-up. Chavez has looked like dog-**** while Gennady has proved his mettle. GGG by late stoppage, probably referee or corner. Canelo doesn't stand a chance, plain and simple. GGG by KO in 5. The five most likely to beat GGG: 1. Andre Ward (I favor Ward over anyone below CW) 2. Sergio Martinez (I'd favor GGG but a healthy Sergio shouldn't be underestimated) 3. Mikkel Kessler (style/technique could win round while avoiding danger, GGG still wins) 4. Peter Quillin (he has a chance, but I'd favor 3G by mid-round KO) and because they're only one division apart I'm going to put him in the discussion: 5. Money Mayweather (best boxer on the planet, I see $ by decision)
