A lot of that has to do with being an ultra aggressive southpaw. Feet are closer when facing a leftie and the causes clashes of heads and feet getting tangled. When Pac explodes he has to adjust his feet to avoid stepping on toes or feet. He is also pivoting a lot after landing to be out of harms way. Pac would have perfect balance if he just stayed planted and fought in the pocket.

pac can clinch in the inside so his shoulder roll will still not work.

only way to settle this is when floyd accepts vada test.

Why do Pac fans think all Floyd has is a shoulder roll?

I think that Pacquiao's footwork is unorthodox, which is why he's had so much success against most of his opponents. It's hard to react to what he is gonna do next. With that, how do we really gauge his footwork against other fighters. Yes he is off balance a lot after he throws a 7-10 punch combo, but it's that same awkward, off balanced footwork, that creates openings other fighters would never have been able to create.

It's kinda hard to take one aspect of a great fighter's arsenal and criticize it, without looking at the whole picture. Pacquiao wouldn't be the offensive monster he is without his awkward, fast, dynamic, and yes, unbalanced footwork. Is Floyd's footwork better than Pacquiao, absolutely, if we use textbook criterion. In reality, it's apples and oranges.

The best type of fighter to give Floyd a problem is Provodnikov.
Of course he has FAR less skill but as ENIGMADANKS said Floyd does have decent power and only a very tough chin can walk through his punches and stay in the pocket with him for a better chance at landing the big shot!!!
Pac is a volume puncher who wears people down, only one punch power can beat Floyd.
He will never let anyone land on him a high volume but he will occasionally slip up and let in a shot or 2.
That is when a fighter like Ruslan who has the power to change a fight with one punch could do some damage.
Also maybe Garcia or Mattysse if they were to get lucky

    talk is cheap!
They have not fought and both fighters are to blame for that!
If they do fight, Floyd will win with ease!
