He cant be going for Cotto, Alvarez etc next... he needs to go up against the top contenders first, Martirosyan, Ishe Smith, Andrade, Delvin Rodriguez, Bundrage, Kirkland then if he beats one of them fight Trout, Lara, Angulo, Molina etc and then if he beats them he may have a shot against one of the bigger names

He's had numerous chances to fight better level fighters before.

I don't agree, mundine has more credentials on his resume than a lot of those fighters, he is a level above them, trout and co I agree with.

Mundine doesn't need Trout, it's Trout who needs Mundine at this point.

What drug are you on. Trout beat cotto lost a competitive decision to canelo. Now he's fighting Lara on show time mundine biggest American tv exposure was espn3 woops hang on that's not even tv its steamed on line.:patsch
I think mundine needs trout more than trout needs him.

trout would be his most dangerous fight because ther dude is just as big as him and has a better jab...

However i think cotto and alvarez woudl be good but chances of happening is close to 1% because they dont need mundine and mundine does not give them $$$$

so a top contender is his best choice or back to retirees:deal!

Trouts fighting Lara for the WBA regular title next week on the Mallignaggi-Judah card with Devon Alexander and Bika-Dirrell on it.Mundine is beneath Trout at the moment. Beating a faded Mosley doesn't change that. Mundine should try and fight Smith but he will probably fight in Australia against someone underwhelming.

If he does that then he really hasn't learnt a thing. Even if he fights a decent journeyman in the US at least to try get some US exposure. If he does though, it will need to be a very convincing win to make the next step to a top 5 rank fighter, then most probably would be able to ask for a Cotto or Alvarez, then after defeating them, then he can ask for mayweather.

To be totally honest he can't expect a top 5 fighter next up I wouldn't think, hope I'm wrong though
