:think, Maidana won that fight by stoppage, didn't look too dented to me. Berto on the other hand looked dented vs Karass though.:good (Karass looked dented vs Maidana when he got knocked down by that huge right hand, you must have Maidana and Karass mixed up)
No I don't. Provodnikov is non stop aggression and would break Broner jaw since he hangs his mouth wide open when he punches.
According to some posters, broner would stop provo! broner couldn't stop malignaggi , but he would stop Ruslan?
Maidanas chin has been dented even tho he's never been stopped before and even tho he's been getting hurt in fights and recovering for years? whatever lol. Bradley simply doesn't have the same pop on his punches as Broner does. it's evident. and yes, Broner has a great activity level for guys like Ruslan who come forward and is there to be hit. Paulie limited his offensive attack by being a great survivor. anyway, what makes you so sure that Broner can't take Ruslans shots? there's no evidence saying he cant. like i said earlier, Broner is an offensive machine as well when wants to be. way more sharp and accurate than Ruslan. also gets hit less. don't be surprised if Broner took it to ruslan. anyway, this talk means nothing until we see what happens next month. if Broner does end up stopping Maidana, i have no doubt in my mind that he could do the same to Ruslan..
Ruslan is too slow for broner. Broner may not carry the power but those stinging quick shots wear you down as well.
I just watched Maidana vs Alexander and the only thing Maidana has is decent power. Provodnikov is leaps and bounds ahead of Maidana in almost every category. If Broner meets Maidana it indicates nothing of how Broner would if he faces Provodnikov.
Maidana is alot more proven than Provo and has faced and beaten better opponents. i'd favor Marcos over Provo at this point. he lost to freakin Herrera..
Did you actually watch that fight or did you see the L on Provodnikov's record and make this assumption? Provodnikov brutalized Herrera in that fight, highly controversial decision by the judges based on them thinking Provodnikov should've went to the body more and threw his punches in combinations instead of trying to take Herrera's head off with 1 punch. Watch that fight again and you will see that Herrera doesn't do any damage on Provodnikov, just jabs and weak right hands that scored him more points. Another thing you will notice is that Herrera is extremely tough and durable and didn't break down mentally while absorbing a vicious assault, hell that fight was more of a draw than anything just based on the heart and stubbornness that Herrera displayed.
watching it as we speak. Herrera is nothing more than a gatekeeper that prospects are supposed to beat and look good against. Provo's gotten better, but he aint this invincible monster everyone makes him out to be...
Trust me Herrera is no joke, he absorbed vicious punches and displayed an absurd amount of toughness in that fight by surviving Provodnikov's unrefined offense for the full 12 rounds. This was definitely a fight Provodnikov NEEDED to lose to learn his lesson, now you see him in fights throwing his punches in combinations and as Teddy Atlas would say "He's investing to the body more".
i know he's tough. i've seen his fights with Alvarado and Mayfield. he can take a punch thats for sure. i haven't finished watching the fight with Provo, but i bet he learned alot after that fight. Herrera is one of those guys that will test a young up and comer, but ultimately the elites are supposed to beat him. but like i said, Provo probably has improved since then.
lol bradly aint exactly feather fisted but not a hard hitter at all, but when your getting hit with a guy that use to weigh 160 in the face that many times it could be a problem.
