In all fairness to chime in, Floyd never said "Pac you're next" until the Miguel Cotto fight build up.

Technically speaking, Pacquiao did lose one month after said fight. And then got KO'd in his attempt to get back in the W column to make this fight as marketable and relevant as it could be...

Sooooo, I'm pretty sure it's better to fight guys coming off a hot streak as opposed to getting the best sleeping meds in the business.

i honestly believe something about Pacquiao has psychologically scarred Floyd. I think floyd would UD pac but the fact his own family was so against the fight for so many years has got to linger in his conscious. If my own family was keeping me away from him it would make me doubt my chances, even if i had all the obvious advantages.

People can say "oh well pac didnt take the test" or whatever but Floyd Sr and Roger have made ridiculous comments for years why Floyd shouldn't fight him and it gives some insight into the situation. Floyd Sr has even been quoted as saying "i fear for my sons safety if he fight Pacquiao", "hes on that Philippine Meth" or "he don't deserve a shot..." but guerrero and Ortiz did apparently. Even if the tests were the issue Its not anymore so why not fight now?

Floyd Sr recently said he wants pac to "prove" himself more...well if floyd fights Khan next that ****ing theory is clearly bull**** as well. Pacquiao is more proven than any other fighter floyd could ever fight. the man is an ATG.

 

Calling out is different from making a promise.
You can call out a any boxer thousand times, sure no problem with that,
but when you make a promise to fight someone and after a certain length of time had passed and you've never done anything to make it happen then its true what you're saying.
