Agreed. The idea that a fight v Chavez does anything to help Froch's legacy is a joke.

 

I can't see that its despicable,really.If he went to Las Vegas,say,and beat Chavez it would be another good win away from home against a younger,hungry{to a point}fighter.Golovkin has showed no sign of moving up yet,would probably beat him if he did,and Ward would school him again.Chavez maybe the best option,and IMO a tough fight.I thought Groves was robbed but if Carl beat Chavez he could retire with a fantastic legacy intact.Hes nearly 37.

 

Doesn't matter. Got a gift, promised a rematch and then reneged on it. The man's warrior image has been exposed as a hollow facade. Rematch or retire. Anything else is a shameless duck and he shouldn't be allowed to forget it.

Would Froch vs Ward II actually be in Vegas?

Ward is not a draw and unless there was a cray amount of Froch fans travelling there is no way this fight sells out MGM.

Ward doesnt sell tickets and doesnt sell PPV's.

Froch vs Chavez Jr would be great to watch and great for his mortgages but would do nothing for his Legacy!!!

 

Ward will only fight in his home town, with his referee, judges, boxing commission, etc.

I don't blame Carl Froch for wanting to go abroad away from all you bellends.
The great fights he has had in the UK and abroad and to now be considered a charlatan is absolutely ridiculous.

Why are people defending a fight with Chavez? Froch would obliterate him and he would be avoiding a fight with Groves. Regardless of his past accomplishments it would be a duck in every sense of the word if he avoids Groves for Chavez.

The Groves rematch would probably give Froch his highest payday. Ward rematch would also end badly, Froch knows he can't beat Ward but he can say "there was only ever one man I couldn't beat but nobody will beat him, he hasn't lost since he was 12".

All this talk of him fighting anyone,anywhere was because he has no other choice. He simply didn't have the draw of a Hatton and Calzaghe etc to get the big fighters over here. Until lately he has has his last 3 fights in UK. He talks as if he chose to fight away from home yet the super 6 was pre arranged.

Froch has been a top ambassador for British boxing and been in some great fights but his attitude of Late is unbelievable. It's like he wants to be the only fighter ever mentioned, he is extremely arrogant. Talks about fighters deserving rematches but he didn't offer Dirrell a rematch.

 

After what happened to Groves would you come here to fight Froch if you was Ward? They would have to pay me an absolute fortune to make me do that.

 

Who in this country would pay to watch Froch Chavez what a joke!!

Seriously Froch is running scared of Groves, he knows he can be hurt by him.
