lets take hatton for example if you watch the fight hatton applies relentless preasure and you can see on floyds face he didnt like it he managed to win becouse hatton was never a elite fighter in welterweight

pacquaio would pressure floyd to submistion also the fact floyd carnt punch helps pacquaio.hatton did a good job in the start pacquia would do 10 times better but he will keep it up intill floyd breaks.

fact is floyd carnt cope with mannys speed power and relentlessnes i ask floyd fans what can floyd do to keep pacquaio away is he a harder puncher then cotto ?

I agree manny's style will force Floyd to be more active, but how that works for him is another story
Floyd has insane skills, but he also knows he is getting older and paces himself. manny wont let him dictate tempo

Floyd has been immense at neutralizing opponents, but can he neutralize manny for 12?
    I hope we find out

So now Rickey Hatton has the blueprint. Let's just ignore the fact that he lost pretty much every round and was knocked out. That's probably good for Pacquiao as he is not a swarmer like Hatton.

when floyd fought hatton he looked worried he carnt cope with a fighter who comes to fight but this time it would be a fighter (pacquaio)who has speed and power presurring him not hatton

to be fair, Floyd outclassed hatton
Floyd is always on point in fights, he doesn't showboat (he did when he was young, but he matured. Anderson silva, you listening??), and he takes every fighter seriously. but he was always in control of that fight

I am going to say what I always say and it makes perfect sense.

In order to beat Floyd Mayweather you have to shut down his offense. He is the best defensive fighter in the game and on top of that he is the best from switching from defense to offense. If you pressure him you are going to get picked apart. Manny doesn't have a jab to actually pressure Floyd. That lack of jab will get him in serious trouble.

You have to shut Floyd's offense down. Everyone always come out with **** that focuses on his defense. Penetrate this, make him defensive all night etc by throwing a lot of punches. He is too smart for that ****. Understand that Floyd Mayweather has an ATG offense. From the pretty boy days all the way till now. You have to shut that down in order to beat him. He lands on average 46 to 50% of his punches while holding guys to 19 and 20%. Even held Marquez to 12%. Get that damn 46% offense connect down to about 23% and you may just beat him.

I thought that before too but when I really studied them I realized that Floyd would have beaten Paul mainly bc of one reason. Paul Williams has a Heavyweight reach and height but always threw it away by getting low. He would just walk out and give up his height from the first bell.

If Floyd was so uncomfortable, then why was he winning all the rounds and landing all the clean punches? Why was he so fresh at the end of the fight? People have been trying beat Floyd with pressure since he was an amateur. He's well prepared for it. That's not Pac's style anyway. If he tries it, he'll get countered and he'll get tired.

Constant pressure is something Canelo could never do with his pathetic stamina

no wonder he got his shot
