Evangelou is still undecided whether or not he wants to box lefty, switching and jabbing. Mitchell is double jabbing predictably up high, then slinging in the right hand to slap across Evangelou's back as they slam into clinches. Evangelou is posing and rolling his head and shoulders on the outside, using a couple of feints. Mitchell mirrors him. Weak hacks at the body by Evangelou as Mitchell covers up.

Round 3

Evangelou is jabbing and popping in the right as Mitchell leans forward and burrows his forearms into him. Mitchell is slapping at the sides of Evangelou up close and getting shoved outside where Evangelou continues to win the jab battle. Little else going on. 1-1-2 by Mitchell, missing and flopping into a clinch as Evangelou lands a counter jab.

Round 4

Evangelou billy-goats his way inside and headbutts Mitchell's crossed arms, pinning them to his chest. Body shots by Evangelou. Double jabs and right crosses by Mitchell after getting bumped out to mid-range, missing as Evangelou ducks and presses in against him to set up shop and land more light body shots. Mitchell claps Evangelou on the back of the head with a right hand in the clinch. Leaping corkscrew left by Evangelou, falling short as Mitchell backs up into the ropes.

Round 5

Evangelou is leaning in and refusing to work, laying on Mitchell and writhing to arm-block and keep his face smothered into the opposite side from Mitchell's. Diligent if sloppy work on the body inside by Mitchell. Nothing coming back from Evangelou. Mitchell shoves out to create a little space and sticks a jab between the gloves.

I could see having maybe given Mitchell the fourth, meaning he could be in the running for a draw here on some cards.

He probably needs a KO to actually get the W.

 

Round 6

Evangelou is jabbing and missing, curling in some right hands and going into a hedgehog position, balled up against Mitchell. A spring outside and some double jabs while moving laterally by Mitchell. Evangelou presses in and ties up. Big right hooks by Evangelou from outside, missing. Mitchell works the body in the clinch. Break. Gum shield of Mitchell out. Time in. They scrap into one more clinch and the bell sounds.

:yep Yeah, with his 11% stoppage rate Evangelou probably lacks the pop to get his respect or brute strength to get away with those clinches.

...and Mitchell, whose stoppage rate is only half of that (seriously, 5.5%) would be gone even faster.

Grachev could dispatch both with a highly economical three combined punches. (two for Evangelou, one for Mitchell)

 

Jesus, this is dragging on. Over two hours of garbage.
