Anyone else think Bellew will win tonight?

It completely 180'd my prediction lol.

Stevenson KO just isn't worth supporting at 1.5ish. I figure throw down on Bellew and convince myself he can KO him or at least survive . Structuring it so I break even if Stevenson knocks him out and make the $$ if Bellew wins.

Logically Stevenson should win because he looked like a beast against Cloud, but I think there's a combination of Stevenson fighting above his capabilities and his recent opponents being in poor mental shape.

Basically there's huge value in supporting Bellew this time out. He definitely has much more of a chance than he's being given, imo due to Lampley/HBO cowgirl-riding Stevenson's dick since the Dawson KO and making people forget that Stevenson is either vastly improved overnight or simply overachieving right now.

And I hate Stevenson. :good

I just dont like Bellew's stand up straight style in this fight, Mckenzie knocked him down Bellew just stood there didnt even react he cant let Stevenson do that

Its gonna take someone awkward as hell Hopkins/Ward or a beast like Kovalev to beat Stevenson

Bellew doesnt have the speed or power but at 11/1 its worth a tenner

Momentum is with Adonis Stevenson, most of the tangibles are with Tony Bellew

When you analyse past performances of both fighters the equation really does equal 50-50. Stevenson has looked distinctly average and Bellew has been cold more than hot at this level. All that said Stevenson has flattened two top rated guys at 175, two guys that I have beating Bellew handily, specially Dawson.

One thing that I always remember about one of Bellew's many statements about his own abilities (most of which are frankly comical) which ironically rings true is:

"Watching me on a tape and fighting me are two different things all together"

He's right, Bellew's is 6'3 and can really pop, he's a massive LHW. Also his ring craft is absolutely first class, he is just a difficult guy to get in there and beat. This of course (as contenders often find out) has a shelf life and an expiry date, the question is; is Tony Bellew about to expire?

Looking at some of the more technical aspects of this fight, lets simplify this, Bellew, tall rangy, puncher who can box, durable, good power, very game and evenly tough. Stevenson, explosive puncher, experienced, reasonable boxer, technically pretty sound in most areas.

Bellew can jab Stevenson to a decision if he sticks to a strict game plan and cracks Stevenson when he can, easier said than done, Stevenson draws people into "inside" fighting, and this is where he is dangerous. Bellew is a more complete fighter than Stevenson IMO, and stylistically he is wrong for Adonis Stevenson, he's substantially bigger and holds most of the tangible advantages.

Stevenson was not expected to take out Cloud and Dawson, the fact he did, makes him the clear favourite, and right fully so, but, I think people have got this wrong. Bellew can beat Stevenson, and IMO he will. It comes down to a disciplined approach, solid jabs with occasional back hands, straight punches will win this for Bellew. He's crafty enough to survive when Stevenson bull dozers in, and from the outside it should be all Bellew. Bellew's gas is always a concern, but equally so, as Chilemba said, he's a massive man, and its tiring fighting him.

Bellew needs to keep his chin down and use his reach. Hes very tall and has a decent boxing brain. I've seen him walk guys down , outbox dudes from the outside and fight inside in a guys chest. Hes quite a good fighter. He just needs to put it all together and fight the fight of his life. If he does this he can win

 

My accumulator is Stevenson T/KO, Kovalev T/KO, Chisora win. I got better than evens for that.

 

Bellew always talks a bigger game than he fights.He will freeze and Stevenson will welcome him to the big time with a brutal ko.
