It's understandable. Vs. Froch/Hopkins he would be a huge favourite.
    With Kovalev... not so much..

TBH I wouldnt mind for Froch to be brutally Koed by Adonis.

But really Groves should be given the opportunity to retire Froch, else everyone will remember Froch as a ducker

A Froch fight in Montreal or Quebec City would bring in a lot more money than a Kovalev fight as Kovalev is relatively unknown here still.

Regarding his comments about what his fans want, there was a poll on the main sports website in Quebec (RDS) about who fans want him to fight after Bellew, results were :

    Froch - 48%
    Hopkins - 19%
    Winner of Pascal/Bute - 17%
    Ward - 10%
    Kovalev - 7%

I scored the first five rounds for Stevenson, 4-1 rounds, 49-46 points, giving Bellew the 1st round. Stevenson landed one defining straight left in the 2nd, four in the 3rd, then in the 4th he slightly outlanded Bellew after the accidental trip, and the 5th he won by ring generalship more than anything else. Finally Stevenson caught Bellew in the 6th, and the fight was soon over. Bellew might have had a plan to stick and move, but it looked like he was in survival mode from the opening bell. He was stood too rigidly upright, his footwork was poor, he mostly retreated while only infrequently moving in to punch, and he missed most of the punches he did throw. Stevenson showed good movement, good power, some good counterpunches, and good defense, but mostly he showed patience, waiting for the inevitable time he would take out Bellew. Stevenson definitely on the shortlist for "Fighter of the Year". But the postfight interview with Kellerman was comical, Stevenson came off like he was ducking Kovalev, the fans in Quebec City made ZERO noise when Stevenson asked them about Froch or Hopkins, but Stevenson kept insisting the fans wanted Froch!!! This will fuel "Stevenson ducking Kovalev" conspiracies. But for tonight, this was a good night of boxing in Quebec City, two definitive results.

His 36, although looks very fit, deserves a payday. Less risk, more money.

He's trying to make as much cash as possible. You can't blame him for that. But if he doesn't fight Kovalev next, the other champion people saw on HBO tonight (and got just as much exposure as Stevenson), it's a duck. Blatant duck.

    $$$$

Froch is probably so high up there because Canadians want to see Stevenson avenge Bute's loss. And Kovalev isn't as widely known as the other fighters listed. So **** you.

Most Canadians DKSAB which is why they haven't heard of Kovalev. I'm Canadian and absolutely want Kovalev even though I think he'll KTFO Adonis. Problem is money talks and the money isn't on the Kovalev fight (unless HBO takes out their wallet).
