they will be matched with other lhw fighters, like: Hopkins Pascal - Bute winner Shumenov Personally I want to see them fighting eachother next to see who'd better succeed to impose his power. what do you think ? :think
personally I don't want to see anybody of these guys fighting Hopkins. He can spoil a good fight better than anybody. :yep Kovalev vs Chavez Jr would be awesome knowing that Jr is a lhw guy ...... or he was.
Hopkins refused Kovalev when Kovalev was Hopkins' mandatory. Hopkins said that he will never fight Kovalev or Stevenson..............
no i dont,....i do think they will eventually fight...but not in their next fight...stevenson wants 2 major fights to make a big payday before he goes againts kovalev... to be realistic, stevesnon probably has about 2 years left of good fighting...if he fights kovalev inmarch, and looses, he then has 2 years of fighting bums...not much money to be made there...so the plan is to have stevenson make money before the kovalev foght happens... stevensons team knows that kovalev is one of the few who actually represent a threat to him...and rightfully so..
wrong actually ....bhop has been trying to set up a fight with stevenson for a little while now... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFPyJgEiXdc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SYrP_NfUfk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxCxXSRenGY if you look around you will see it was hbo that refused the fight...not bhop... bhop said he would fight anyone he just wants the $$...which i truely believe... stevenson said he would fight "anyone" but prefers to fight froch or bhop kovalev said bhop is not possible but he would like to fight stevenson.... theres another video out there but cant find it right now about where kovalev in an interview says that the bhop fight is not possible, simply based on the hbo/sho war
Stevenson has already said he doesn't want Kovalev next. I think it's safe to say he'll go for a big-money fight in Canada against the Bute/Pascal winner. Ideally, Kovalev will get another couple of good wins in the meantime before they force this one through. Also, as much as I admire Hopkins, I don't want to see him against Kovalev. All we can guarantee is that he'll make it an ugly, borderline-unwatchable fight.
