Nasty Tony Bellew saying all those bad things about the pimping woman beater. Boo hoo. My heart bleeds for him.

As for the fight, Stevenson is on a different level. He was always going to be. I don't think HBO wanted to see Bellew this time let alone in future.

 

Everyone knew that Bellew did not have a chance, but he did land some good punches. Bellew did better than Kovalev's opponent...............

 

Not to the fighters performance but they could bash our man for 12 rounds and as long as he stays on his feet to see the bell I'm sure the judges over here would give our boy the nod haha

 

I don't think Tony will achieve a great deal in his fighting career in comparison with his ambitions. He is a Euro level fighter and nothing more.
Listening to the HBO commentary they do mention how he would have a great future as a fight analyst. Tony should throw all his efforts into that. He is eloquent and often funny.
Cruiserweight will harbour nothing but further disappointment.
Tony sounds like Tyson Fury having swallowed a dictionary sometimes. Unfortunately, unlike Tyson, his fights are incredibly dull.
I have said prior to the fight that Tony could turn himself into a LH Macklin or Katsidis and earn some nice paydays getting chewed up by LH prospects and veterans. Another boring display has put all that to sleep.

If he secures the Euro title it gives him great credentials to go on and my a colour commentator and analyst.

Even Howard Foster couldn't have helped Tony Bellew last night. Shame, but he was well out of his depth. Time for a move to cruiser, me thinks. Our boys at light-heavy are a long way off the pace.

HBO didn't want nothing to do with him to start with, they told all the boxing pundits they didn't rate him in the slightest, and that he was going to be destroyed by Superman which is exactly what happened.

Gotta agree he will be a hard sell to the TV companies now for fast Eddie. Wonder what he thought of the game plan last night. Unless he made it to the second half of the fight and actually troubled adonis he was always gonna come away looking like he ran and just tried surviving.
