Chisora in 2013: 4 wins by KO. How would Price have fared vs the same opponents?

I think its hard to predict in fairness, its a rebuilding stage for Price now.. All i know is i think feb 2014 is too soon for Price, i think he needs quite abit of time..

 

Sauerland said they will take Price and give him many tuneup fights in 2014. I don't think Chisora would qualify for that, he'll have to fight a string of journeymen first.

 

Pre Thompson,Price beats them all.Actually,that should have been HIS run pre Thompson.Not sure he'd have beat Scott,and Im not sure Chisora would if they fought again.

 

Pala woulda knocked Price out hes tough

 

If he does that then he has to vacate the belt/s as Frank is talking about a date of February for Chisora/Price.

 

It's easy enough to say he would spark them all out but based on what?

The problem with Price is that he fought such poor opposition before Thompson such as the likes of Raphael Butler, Tom Dallas, John McDermott, Sam s e xton, Audley Harrison and Matt Skelton that there was no middle ground fights like Gerber, Scott and Pala to gauge whether he was ready to go up against the Top tier Heavyweight guys like TT.

So knowing what level Price can compete at is still a mystery!

 

I said the same as Yuffle before he said it.But,I would qualify this by saying he should have boxed all bar Scott.He could have took on,and beat,the other 3,in 6 months in my opinion.This would have meant he was being ACTIVE.At least one of these could have taken him some rounds.Possibly then he could have been in a position to take a Thompson fight,whereas now he has to rebuild.Looks like the Germans want to keep him active,and this is,I think,the key.

 

Price needs his confidence rebuilt and his anxiety issues to be cleared up. He looked gassed once Thompson got up in the second fight. Saurland needs to give him a good 5 fights in next year before even considering a top 15 guy.

Price wasn't anygood pre-Thompson. He just beat up old domestic level journey men.

Malik Scott has a good chance of beating him.

 

In the Thompson fights his jab seemed awfully lazy for such a big man. I thought it would have more snap to keep guys off of him. Thompson ate him up. I hope he rebounds but their is work to do. If there is still fire left in his tank I think Sauerland will be able to get it out of him and eventually get him back into meaningful fights by 2015-16.

 

Price wont be winning anything uless he gets that jab going and uses his size to his advantage.

 

Regarding Scott I did say Price shouldn't have gone in with him,so thats not bollox for a start.Price isn't any more ready for him than he was for Thompson.He turned pro a bit late,and the opponents he had were the kind you'd expect.Certainly Skelton and Harrison,though past it,were still dangerous to a point.Ive always thought David was too inactive,should have fought more often against a steady increase in opponents.
I never thought Dave was gonna be a world champ.But probably neither is Chisora.Doesnt mean either is no good.That IS bollox.Great username by the way.

Price is no good. But sure that bollox beacuase he manaed to beat up old man Harrison.atsch

He never accomplished anything good to make me think otherwise. He wasn't just not ready for Thompson, he never would be ready for Thompson. He got sparked the first time he stepped up above complete hasbeen.

I have no problem with the level of opposition, I wasn't complaining about it. It is his level though. Beating them doesn't make him good is my point. He's a typical British hype job, hype with no accomplishment, then blown out of there the first time he slightly challenges himself.

Skelton and Harrison where domestic level old men. Even in their hayday they wheren't above domestic level.

Chisora is good, if he can keep himself motivated he has a chance of picking up a title. Especially once the Klits retire.

I reckon Joshua is going to be v.good btw. He has fluidity to his boxing that Price never had.
