I like Kovalev, but for a dude with a ring death in his past

..he is still incredibly antagonistic in the ring? I read somewhere that he flipped off the audience in the UK after the Cleverly fight (not sure if true), and apparently was taunting Sillakh AFTER stopping him?

I'm not holding him accountable for the death of another fight in the ring, I'm just surprised that he is still able to get so heated and nasty in the wake of those events.

Yeah, because that is exactly what I was implying he should do.

Most of athletes have psychologists and other professional assistance down under to help them recover from such incidents and further resume their careers and lives.

    :rofl

I see your point bro. You would think a situation like that would make one gun shy but it is clear he has moved past the issue.

Kovalev is a thug, saying how he wanted to 'bury' Sillakh and then standing there screaming at him after knocking him out :-( He should have a bit more class after what happened

It is true but I seem to recall some of the Welsh crowd booing the Russian national anthem when they started playing it.

Kovalev seems like a nice guy in all the interviews I've seen of him but he doesn't seem the type to take too kindly to you if you disrespect him or **** him off.

I enjoy trash talk but he's not very smart about it. When trash talk lacks the humour and starts sounding like a genuine threat, you overdone it.

He's a Russian, I'm not sure what else you can expect? I mean if he dies, he dies...

The like of James Toneys incoherent ramblings are way worse.

Dudes a fighter, he went in there for the KO and he got it.

I was just outside ringside & didn't see him do anything, if he did do it might have been because the Russian anthem had been booed earlier.

He certainly seems less affected by the death of an opponent than many other famous examples, but I don't think that necessarily implies disrespect or a lack of character.

Some people are just wired differently. Kovalev has probably just come to terms with it being one of the risks of the profession, and that at the end of the day he was doing his job.

He's an A tier LHW, but not a talented trash talker is all I'm saying. Not sure why you would school me on how good he is in the ring when I've seen all of his recent fights. I also don't see why a Kovalev fan has to like absolutely everything about him. He definitely is untalented with his mouth.
