Depends if Clev fights like an idiot like he did against Kovalev. He's a tall rangy guy with not a great deal of power. At least try and box your opponent, trying to trade with Kovalev when massively outgunned was lunacy. Vince needs to re-evaluate their tactics if they're ever going to trouble any belt holders in the future.
I like Cleverly, but he has no business in the ring with Stevenson. None at all. I have an intense personal dislike for Stevenson, because of his past, but he is extremely dangerous and will manhandle Clev badly. It might be impossible to come back from another brutal loss.
Cleverly would do great against Stevenson, i could even give him a good chance of winning. Even against Kovalev if he could have just got past another round or two i think the fight would have started to swing his way, we saw some hints of that just before the first knockdown which effectively ended the fight.
He'd get knocked out in the first half of the fight. Its a matter if levels, both Cleverley and Bellew are solid domestic fighters, euro title level at a stretch. Clev has over achieved due to clever management.
The expected super-fight between Stevenson-Kovalev should really be Cleverly-Stevenson. That's becuase Kovalev illegally hit Nathan TWICE after the 2nd flash KD, those open punches can be devastating especially from a doped-up monster, and there were a few elbows/headbutt before that too. Kovalev no doubt picked up such tactics in scummy yankeeville. Kovalev should be stripped and **** off back to Siberia, whilst Nathan should hold that WBO belt and be dictating terms to Stevenson for a unification super-fight in London. Well, that'd be the case if boxing wasn't such a corrupt mess that mostly yanks wallow in.
Nothing funny about that injustice done to Nathan. You must have some scummy Russian family or you're just a ******.
Cleverly would get f-cked in the arse just as hard as Bellew did, Stevenson is too black, too slick and too beastly to be beaten by these domestic level fighters. :deal
