    ya, i was hoping for at least Rubio but it's not a big deal to me really. G is going to stay active and the fights will come eventually with HBO in the mix now. everyone for and against him is just anxious to find out what he's made of when seriously tested.

    fighting a WBA ranked #14 guy is pathetic. he shouldnt even be ranked in the top 20 after his last 3 fights. it cheapens the belt he has, as if they already are not cheap enough these days

    That makes it even more ridiculous that Murray is fighting a different opponent on the same card, especially after his "tune up" fight next week in the UK.

    Dmitry Pirog was going to be stripped of his WBO title as soon as he stepped in the ring to fight GGG. Is it GGG's fault that Pirog has a herniated disc? Both were willing to make the fight.
    Peter Quillin declined a fight with GGG before the HBO/GBP beef and before Quillin had the WBO belt. Golovkin fought Makoto Fuchigami.(May 12, 2012)
    Felix Sturm ducked GGG for 2 years.
    Daniel Geale dropped the WBA belt to fight Mundine, instead of the WBA mandatory(GGG)
    Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam dropped the WBA Interim belt and skipped out on purse bids to avoid GGG(twice!)
    Eddie Hearn isn't putting Darren Barker in with GGG for less than Mayweather money.
    Martin Murray is going to need 10 tune up fights before he's ready, apparently.
