then why doesn't he start calling out the top guys individually, and no, im not talking about when interviewers ask him about fighting guy, and he replies "yes" or when he says he wants "everyone", i'm talking about showing some passion and actually putting a guy on his radar. if he really wants Sergio or any other top MW, he needs to bring them up by name every chance he gets. he might need to talk a little sh*t if need be. when you're harassing a man about fighting him, he has no choice but to take notice because you're challenging him and his manhood.

for example, R Guerrero has been calling out Floyd for years and we all laughed at him and said it would never happen. this man wanted this fight so bad that he jumped up two divisions to prove he's worthy and finally got it. he showed dedication and i respect him for that. until he shows real passion about wanting to get in the ring with those top guys, i refuse to believe his fans claims of the best not wanting to fight him, because it doesn't seem like he really wants to fight them. he's perfectly fine with holding his belt and fighting the type of guys he's fighting. easy money.

"Everyone from 154-168" is beating around the bush. who does he really want? and if that statement is sincere, then why not move up to 168? there a guys that would be more than willing to fight him up there, guaranteed. Stevenson was being avoided at 168 so he moved up and look at him now. anyway, this isnt a hate thread, just calling it like i see it..

And 168 and 154 have some very big names there. He said he'd go to both divisions, so damnit why hasn't he?

I personally know why he hasn't gone down to 154 because he can't

:yep that's why i didn't even really get into that.
i don't believe this "small MW" stuff for a second.
just like when it comes to Sergio, if you're serious about coming down in weight, go ahead and prove that you can..

Because I'm sure the names at 154 that bring in the money and would be worth draining yourself for like Mayweather, Cotto and Canelo would love to fight Golovkin. :patsch

These guys dont want to fight him. The only person thats called him out in the last year or so was Stevens and GGG took that fight hella quick!!

and lets just be honest here...

Martinez is not fighting him anytime soon. he's trying very hard to fight Cotto and if he wins then he'll try to rematch just to dcuk the fight. If he loses then Cotto can fight GGG (man that would be sick) Mayweather or Canelo for Middle weight title.

I dont mind him fighting somebody thats not very good. its a stay busy fight. Hes one of the few boxers that fights 4 times a year. He said he'll be back in April. Martinez still wont be there, Kid Chocalte probably dont want he fight, so who knows who he fights.

I like how hes not gonna leave 160 till he gets the Middle weight championship of the world, not some WBA crap. and why hould we bash him??? Hopkins stayed middle champ for 10+ years till he finally lost to Taylor. People wanted him to move up but he didnt want to. Im happy GGG is grinding hard to get that title. he will be champ in 2014, probably his last fight

you need to learn something about boxing, as well as the English language.

GGG has offered to fight ANYONE from 154-168....few takers. He is, afterall, the consensus MW Champion of the World. You'd think some other Champion at 154, 160, or 168 would go after him, seeing he is all hype:rofl You boys are indeed in need of help.:yep

Better question is : if Golovkin's not avoided, why aren't more people like Stevens calling him out to try and take his belt and HBO spotlight ?

Very specifically though Sanchez said 'If the right offer comes in we can make 154'.

Their plan is very clear - establish GGG as the accepted MW champ - currently that means going through Martinez. They also said - yes, we'll diverge from that plan if an offer too good to refuse comes from 168 or 154.

I don't really see the complexity in this.

They're not looking to push Golovkin up or down in weight unless there's a real good reason to. A weight change would necessitate a deviation from their apparent plan of having him fight as often as possible - not to please the boxing hardcore, I assume, but to keep the watching public paying their subscriptions.

It doesn't especially impress me but it is what it is. I wanna see GGG - Froch, GGG - Martinez, GGG - Ward (f#kk even Bika or Groves would do fine) but these fights will only come with the wider popularity of Golovkin being established amongst the Saturday night viewer.

You want the big fights? You gotta make sure the money's there. This is even more the case with Golovkin who may have a strong fanbase amongst boxing enthusiasts but doesn't have a US based ethnic fanbase to call on.

If he wants the fame and money he needs to move up to 168 .
