Funny how you can say the same thing about all Mayweather's recent fights except the from the Cotto one.

 

I agree, most fight fans would rather watch Pacquiao than Mayweather but REAL Boxing fans appreciates Floyd's defense and his skills (even though not much action).

 

Both fights are good fights whether clowns like to admit it or not.

Pacquiao was coming off a KO loss, forced to inactivity due to the KO and was making a come-back on neutral grounds in China. Anyone half brained would know that an easy fight is normal for whoever especially after coming off a brutal KO defeat. Whoever questions Pacquiao's choice of opponents is a straight up hating trolling ape, simple as that. Here's his list of opponents since moving up to 140+ in 2008: DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Concreto, Mosley, Marquez x2, Bradley, Clottey and now Rios. His next choice of opponent seems to be either Marquez(who knocked him out) or Bradley II(who recently defeated Marquez). How in hell can anyone question this man's choice of opposition is beyond my understand, I need to be a trolling internet ape to fully comprehend.

Now to Mayweather vs Baldomir. Baldomir was the undisputed Welterweight champion at the time and the man to beat in his time for beating Judah who was being hyped really well after destroying Spinks in their rematch. To those that didn't exist back then, Judah vs Mayweather was the fight everyone wanted to see at welterweight after Judah beat Spinks and it was the main reason Mayweather moved up to 147. Judah loses to Baldomir despite his date with Mayweather already being set pretty much made it clear that it's Baldomir the one to target. Mayweather did try to drop Judah for both Concreto(who refused because he was headlining a super-event against Manuel Gomez which later made $32k PPV buys) and Baldomir(who refused because he demanded more money). This fight had to happen sooner or later for the official #1 spot and it did. It's not Mayweather problem Baldomir was officially #1.

But you'd have to agree that in terms of historical significance, the Baldomir fight definitely is superior to the Rios fight.

Entertainment wise, it's pretty equal.

 

Of course it's more significant, how can a come-back/return fight be compared to a world title fight for the #1 spot in a division?.

 

he chose baldo over marg for a freakin' dollar, yes it was a boxing clinic but it wasn't pleasing to the eyes a lot of celebrities walked out halfway of the fight.

 

Watch rounds 8 to 12. Clearly Baldomir wasn't even punching any more right? I'm not being sarcastic or anything.

Entertainment wise, it's equal? Like I said, the feeling of being entertained is subjective. Ask yourselves "REAL" boxing fans, during the 8 to 12th round of Pacquiao's fight against Rios did you hear anyone booing Pacquiao for his performance? What about Mayweather against Baldomir?

Rios feared Pacquiao when they were in the ring. While Baldomir fought through the end, throwing more punches and trying to KO Mayweather.
