Floyd Mayweather should fight the winner of Trout-Lara

I can see somewhat of an argument for saying that about Lara. However, how is Trout too risky for Mayweather? Trout had trouble hitting Alvarez, and had trouble getting out of the way of Canelo's counter shots. He has zero advantages over Floyd with the exception of size. Mayweather would beat him decisively.

Alvarez had power to back Trout off, against Mayweather it's going to be a completely different fight because Mayweather fights nothing like Alvarez. In this fight Trout can be as active as he always has without worrying much about being hurt or pressured into backing off, he can impose his will and size freely and try to chase/catch Mayweather. Yes, Trout will most likely lose but it won't be an easy fight and for the attention this fight would bring it wouldn't be worth it for Mayweather to consider it.

 

Alvarez is a counter puncher and played the part against Trout. Trout is not a pressure fighter. If he goes in and tries to stalk Mayweather, he'll get taken apart. Trout is a good fighter, but he doesn't have the attributes to beat Floyd. Floyd is a sharp puncher. If you think Trout can just come forward and eat leather all day, then you're mistaken.

The only thing Khan will do by throwing combinations in the air will make Mayweather abit more patient, he will still catch him though

 

you act like Floyd is a KO artist...its nothing that says he would KO khan any earlier than he would probally TKO Provo...i'd bet if khan does get KO'd it be a late TKO...which is probally the same outcome with Provo.

In any case Floyd is not KO'in Khan early

 

171lb Trout is way too big for Floyd. Just like the 170lb 3G is. But 172lb Canelo wasn't. lol

Lara is the only fighter at 147 and 154 that would be competitive with Floyd.

(except a couple of Top Rank boxers, Pacquiao and Bradley, but we know those fights can't be made)

Dont want to see it to be honest. Floyd is a 147 lbs fighter.

 

Correction Lara at 154 is his biggest threat Under 168. As a fan of Floyds I would much rather see a fight with GGG, who is much more marketable an would offer a better styles match-up. 2 highly skilled counter punchers will never make a exciting match-up. People complain when he fought Cotto for christ sake . . . there would be almost no action in a Lara match-up (even though I would love it)
