stop this rubbish folks! Espinoza, has no veto over floyds opponents, he has disclosed this info in BOXING MONTHLY IN THE UK,dec 2013 issue. He has a guaranteed salary, contrary to your beliefs. Espinosa, says strength does not trouble floyd, but maybe speed of khan will. HIS WORDS NOT MINE, I disagree because amir s game is full of holes & these have been very glaring throughout his pro career too!

 

problem is khan cannot hurt floyd, therefore ko is out the question.

2nd, he cant outbox him either, so winning by decision is not an option.

the only mystery here is whether floyd can ko khan.

personally, id be disappointed if he doesnt.

 

That's down to Khan's foolish strategy and his machismo of standing and trading. He has no place to stand and trade with any boxer, no matter how light handed the boxer is. If you stand their and wave your chin in the air, then your going down, especially with his dodgy chin.

As i said, Khan has attributes to cause Floyd some problems. Will he win, no, but at least we'll see Floyd get uncomfortable.

 

All Khan has is speed and after 4 rounds that will go out the window too. His fighting style is predictable and he can be very basic. This will be as terrible(most definitely worse) of a fight for Mayweather as Ortiz.

 

No one around has the ability to stop Floyd, and that includes Pac. You have to look at past greats like Hearns and Sugar Ray Leonard who have very good chances.

No one can outbox Floyd and that includes Pac. But what Khan brings to the table is fast hand speed and flurries. If Floyd sits back in the early rounds, I can easily see Khan rack a few rounds up with his jab and flurries. They may not hit the target properly, but his activity alone will win him rounds.

If Khan chooses to lung in and be reckless, I can see Floyd KO'ing Khan nice and early. If Khan sits behind his jab, then it could go the distance.

Styles make fights and Khan has the style to make things uncomfortable.

 

I'd rather see an entertaining 4-6 rounds, than a boring 12 round, one-sided win for Floyd. With Khan, you're guaranteed some sort of excitement, even if it means him being face first on the canvass.

 

How are they gonna sell this? Khan is coming off a near loss to a journey man.

Matthysse doesn't mach up well with Mayweather at all and would lose every second of every round, Thurman should probably earn some more experience before fighting Floyd but Garcia, yeah, he definitely has deserved it even though I don't think he's got a chance with the style he got.

Come on now, Khan would be a decent opponent. Not fantastic by any means, but pretty damn legit. Technically, Khan is not a bad boxer. He's fast, hits hard-ish and is not easy to catch. When he gets caught, he's likely to be down and out but Mayweather isn't quite that type of fighter, is he? Also, as I said, Khan is never in a bad fight. Motherfucker is easily among the most exciting boxers on earth. His style is highly entertaining and his hilarious punch resistance makes for thrilling fights on a regular basis.

Not a good fight, but given the dearth of good matchups with Floyd, I'm not really upset with this.

Mayweather beats Khan easily. Khan lacks the skills, footwork, defense, accuracy, ring IQ, etc....to really trouble Floyd. I don't buy that "Khan can trouble Floyd because of his speed" stuff one bit.

My thoughts exactly, very entertaining fight whilst it lasts, at least a lot more so than floyds usual beatdowns. If they could host it at Wembley stadium then that gives us Brits the chance to see floyd live before he retires & he picks up even more fans. Everyone wins. Can't see what the problem is?

 

i can't believe that people are defending a floyd vs khan fight! i hope khan pulls a rabbit out off his ass and somehow knocks floyd the f out!!! it would serve floyd right for booking this fight instead of a fight with pac that boxing fans are begging for.
