Kevin Johnson schooled this nicca and then iced him the 9th round

Kevin Johnson is a top 20 HW at least. Hes severely underrated. Yeah Johnsons cool even though he had some heated exchanges with Tyson Fury before their fight

Yeah Boystov backed out of a fight vs Tyson Fury. He has never fought a top Heavyweight. HTF did he get a #1 ranking? The whole lot of WBO rankings are rubbish

Leapia actually beat a top 10 fighter, ranked no.1 no less. You're just going to have to deal with that.

I suggest you email Fury, Chisora and everyone else you deem worthy of a shot at Klitschko these lists.

Thats avoiding my origional post. You have to deal with and admit the fact that Boystov was not a real #1 contender and was put there through corrupt tactics.

People would seriously prefer Wlad vacating and getting another paper champion?:patsch

Some seriously naive people on here. Boystov vs Leapai was a low key ten rounder between the number 1 and number 8 ranked fighter and was never billed as an eliminator yet has now miraculously produced the WBO's first mandatory for three years.

Leapai is the easiest available opponent who will be willing to fight for the least amount of money and K2 have jumped at the chance, that's all this boils down to. If you think K2 had nothing to do with the WBO's decision the you are kidding yourself.

Boystov was number 1 contender despite not beating a single ranked opponent in 4 years:lol:

Some have been hoping for that for years now. Wlad vacating one of his belts because that would make him a "ducker", and their favorite boxer would suddenly have a chance to become "the heavyweight champion of the world", where he wouldn't have chance in hell if Wlad was still holding it.

The fight sucks, but it's what can happen when the guy they wanted as their #1 (Boytsov) screws up against the guy brought in to lose (Leapai).

Same thing has happened before, and sometimes even worse. Like when journeyman Ferguson beat Ray Mercer and then got his titleshot at Riddick Bowe. :yep

How do you work out that Leapai is going to bring huge money in for the WBO? Leapai's team wont even be able to put up the minimum $1.m purse no doubt.

I actually applaud the WBO here. It would have been much more in their interests to mandate someone like Wilder with Goldenboy behind him or one of the other Saureland fighters. Tushay to the WBO I say in giving Leapai the shot and saying a big fcuk off to all the money bag promoters who refuse to match their fighters like Leapai has been.

Leapai won and he deserves No. 1 WBO so he is the mandatory.

Why should Wlad pay him "step-aside-money" to fight whom?

Than the whole ESB would cry "Wlad is duckung Lepai."

Lepai won this fight with his fists not with a promoter behind the scene.
So he shoul get more respect here on ESB.

Well, he earned his shot at Wlad for giving Boystov a beating.

    Nobody would say that.

This is not about Alex at all, but rather Wlad.
