Karass had Madaina hurt more than once in that fight. Not saying Broner carries the power of Karrass, but he is likely a far better puncher in terms of timing and placement.
Maidana doesn't seem very sturdy to me, he was getting brutalized by Devon Alexander's punches who isn't the hardest hitter in the world, Alexander actually had Maidana walking backwards toward the ropes at several points in that fight, once a pressure fighter starts switching up his style and taking backward steps because he doesn't possess the toughness to take the opponent's punches, that's the worst thing he can do. If Maidana fights Rios next year, I'm betting on Rios because Rios showed some serious toughness in his defeat to Manny Pacquiao, yeah he was getting brutalized by Pacquiao's right hands but he never once took a step backwards.
Maidana is dangerous when hurt though, if Broner ever gets hurt he might not react as well as Chino does. Karras got stopped in that fight and knocked down. Good win for chino.
I agree, Bradley's movement helped him out in the Provodnikov fight but, the big difference is Bradley stays in shape regardless if he has a fight in the near future, Broner does not. In a fight with RP, that could be the difference between losing or winning. Lets not forget that RP put Bradley on his butt in the final round of his encounter with RP. If RP could wear down an immensely in shape fighter like Bradley, he can do it to Broner. Look at the really great fighters of the last 2 decades, Jones, Hopkins, Mosely, Pacman, Mayweather all stay in shape year round and I've never seen any of these guys have stamina issues in the later part of their fights. Broner has world class skills but, to be a world class, A+ fighter he needs to stay in shape year round or he will be worn down in the later part of fights when he fights a beast like RP.:bbb
I think Broner would beat Provodnikov. Lets not forget that in the end, at least on my card, Bradley did beat Provodnikov despite getting dropped and rocked continuously while fighting the worst game plan in Prov's favor imaginable.
Yeah but what makes you think that Broner's toughness and heart are even in the same LEAGUE as Bradley's?
