Floyd Mayweather vs. Amir Khan speculation & discussion

I wonder if some people actually realize that the only boxers that Mayweather is fighting is someone huge following(except Pacquiao).

My point is Mayweather doesn't have to hype up Khan. Khan and his fan base will do that for him. Mayweather just talk **** just like the usual.

 

Pacquiao was also coming off a loss, not just any loss but a devastating KO loss! There was no shame fighting a guy like Rios who has an all action style in your first fight back after a KO loss and taking a year break!

Khan is coming off a win against Julio diaz :rofl who even dropped Khan and came close to stopping Khan!!! Diaz had won only 6 of his last 11 fights before he fought Khan and had already been KTFO by Kendall Holt

This is just like the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao speed argument.

You are mistaking a higher prevalence of fast high-volume flurries with base hand speed. In terms of single blows, neither Khan nor Pacquiao can really be said to be noticeably faster (if at all) than Mayweather.

Now, Gary Russell Jr.? :deal He is faster than all three. (whether throwing singles or combos)

 

but can Mayweather really afford to talk **** about Khan? there is so much May can say about Khan! he can say Khan has a glass jaw and has been KTFO more then once! he can say Khan has never fought at 147! he can mention the fact he got dropped by Julio Diaz in his last fight! There is so much Mayweather could say about Khan, but how will that benefit Mayweather and make pepole think Khan has a chance?

Mayweather wont talk **** about Khan, he has to hype Khan up otherwise this fight has no chance of being taken seriously!

I disagree with so much here that it is hard to know where to begin. In what parallel universe was he "outclassing" Garcia before the stoppage? Sure, he had a round or two advantage at the time but he was hardly "outclassing" Danny.

If I hear one more person on here cite Khan's handspeed as a reason why he'll trouble Floyd, I think I'm going to put my head through a brick wall.

So let's all say it together.... handspeed does not:
1) Compensate for poor defensive acumen
2) A shaky beard
3) ZERO inside game
4) Questionable ring IQ

Moreover, Khan is not especially difficult to hit once a fighter adjusts to his handspeed and lanky build. See Lamont Peterson. See Danny Garcia. See Marcos Maidana in the later rounds.

If a relatively crude tactician like Peterson could find the mark against Khan, what the do you think a ****ing maestro like Floyd would do???
