There are many more deserving and more proven boxers who could be fighting Wlad. Fury, Helenius, Chisora, Pulev, Stiverne etc. Even Kevin Johnson is technically more deserving having beaten Leapai. Leapai is not a top 20 fighter despite his win over Boystov who was totally unproven.

If Wlad were to vacate or side step Leapai the only people who would accuse him of ducking Leapai would be the same idiots who accuse Lewis of ducking Byrd and Ruiz, nobody takes them seriously. Only way it would be seen as a duck is if Wlad vacated and then fought and even worse fighter than Leapai.

Fact is this is a huge mismatch, if Leapai somehow won, it would rank as one of the biggest upsets of all time, up there with Tyson/Douglas. Hell it would probably be the biggest upset ever.

Nobody is disrespecting Leapai, he did his job and beat the guy that was put in front of him. If the fight happens I will be rooting for Leapai, would be a great story if he some how did a "Rocky Balboa" and beat Wlad. Leapai's emotional response to beating Boystov was heart warming and we all love a big underdog and Leapai is a massive underdog.

**** fight, and I have zero interest in the opponent. But I will still watch since I'm a Klitschko fan, and will get to see a KO.. Not Wlads fault though. Boystov fought horribly, and WBO rankings and decision are poor. I see nothing that Lepai brings to the table in terms of sales and challenge. Hope Wlad takes this fight shortly after a previous fight, or takes one shortly after KOing Lepai. Hopefully Pulev wins quickly vs. Williams, and they push for a IBF mando in Feb instead.

I hope that it's someone else. Hell even Tyson fury or a injured David haye would be better!

Typically disgusting. I doubt ESPN would consider covering this garbage. Leapai has no skills. Would lose 10 rounds to zero to Everett Martin calibre fighters in the 90s. Shouldn't be anywhere near a title fight.

The Stov ducked Fury and Chisora. Puled out of scheduled fights against both guys and Never beat the former #1 Helenus but still went to the top. Thats some bull****.

Mando isn't an excuse Wlad can hide behind anymore.

    Chef,

I'm the biggest Wlad fan out there, but is Wlad really gonna fight this guy LEAPAI?

Wladimir should have the Leapai fight ASAP, so he'll still have time for 2 more meaningful (Pulev) and more financially rewarding (Fury or Adamek) fights in 2014.

Hopefully Wladimir will fight three times in 2014.

Pulev has been mando for longer. Why is that fight not being enforced?

Don't say because Pulev wants another fight. If he can dictate to the orgs who he fights next then Wlad sure as hell can as well.
Wlad does not have to do anything he doesn't want to. If K2 Didn't want this guy as mando he would not be mando.

If they made Boystov mando , they can unmake Leapai mando, yeah. We ain't fools around here Chef.:bart

To be scheduled they would have had to be signed in the first place.
