Upset at not being over for this, wish Darren all the best he's improved a lot since Martinez and hopefully he continues it tonight. He's in the unique position you could say though that if he loses there is still money and good fights to be made for him with the rest of Britians middleweights.

I notice youre not straight out saying hes gonna beat Sturm though, like you did when this fight was announced, Chips. :)

Whats the matter. CC....losing a bit of confidence in your boy are you? :)

Soon Darren will be saying "Auf Wiederschen" to his title.....Vorsprung der Sturminator!!! :bbb

I can see a Sturm win tonight. Barker's gone from saying "this is everything to me" for the Geale fight to saying "this is all about the money" for the Sturm fight. He's got a rematch clause in where he'll get paid again anyway, so I'm just not sure the motivation is there like it was in his last fight. I hope it is, but we'll have to see.

Also watched the Geale fight again in the week and he was lucky the ref didn't step in during the 6th. He didn't throw back for quite a while and if that happens tonight it'll be game over.

Whatever else he lacks, motivation isnt it GJM.
If anything he is too wound up about beating Sturm. Did you see his antics at the weigh-in, all that "tough-kid-wants-a-fight" staredown rubbish. If he loses through his own fault, it will be more likely the case that he lost his cool and abandoned the game plan. This happened against Geale, but he got away with it against a mediocre champ like Geale. He wont against Sturm.

Haha still confident he will win mate, it's a tough fight no doubt about it but we will see soon enough, as long as it's not a robbery ( not a dig at Sturm btw he's had some questionable decisions against him also ) and Barker gives 100% I'll be happy enough at that.

While I see your point I wouldn't call it luck, it shouldn't have been stopped and it wasn't stopped. If it was in Britain and Geale was in Barkers position then yes it would have been but that's British stoppages for you.
