For the record I thought Macklin won vs Strum, I scored Geale - Strum a draw (could have gone either way) and I thought Strum edged Murray. Murray did better than Barker and Macklin vs Martinez but Macklin in particular did well in the first half of that fight. I thought Barker edged Geale who I felt drew with Strum. I think GGG is above all them obviously but its often pick'em between the others at this stage.
I'll be honest, I like Sergio Martinez but I don't think he's that far above these guys these days. 2 years ago he was way above everyone else in the division. (Kind of like Ward is now at Super Middleweight).
LOL That guy is from Montenegro and is bum if there ever was one, nothing can be concluded from that fight because Radosevic isnt worthy of caring spit bucket of Sturm.
Thats because he slowed down. 4 years ago I would only pick GGG to beat him and I would still give martinez a good chance to out point him.
i'm looking for the thread about the middleweight paper tigers titlebout scrubfest. hope they knock each other out and triple G gets a good laugh.
Not ruling Darren out completely - Barker has enough to make it competitive. But bottom line is he is only superior in a few departments eg possibly freshness, mobility, variety and workrate. Sturm is the real quality operator here. He is just simply a better boxer than Darren. If age hasn’t caught up with him and he can sustain a good pace round after round, Sturms phenomenal jab, airtight defence, size, strength, crisp hard punches, chin and mental and physical toughness and guile will see him beat Barker.
Love it - 'Englands Darren Barker has a dream to get to the top of his profession....' (But he can't because a Kazakh monster emerged from the Eastern steppes so he's fighting Sturm instead) -
