Nah, f*ck that. We're just gonna call him a bum. This is no place for logic or rationality.
(That was sarcasm, by the way.)

We must have missed Sturms legendary "Hip Hook" Mac!
Seriously though Darren WALKED out of the ring under his own steam.
I know pro boxers are tough, but no-one walks on a dislocated hip.
I think its a case of "less lip and more hip" from the Barker backers!

What a performance by Sturm though....I knew Sturm would win but.......:happy wow!

I expected Sturm to win the German portion of the series, but rewatching the fight on youtube, Barker's injury looked legit from the start. On the first knock down he was falling face first before Sturm's punch even landed.

This fight was so short that neither fighter was completely settled yet. The rematch in April should Barker be medically cleared to train for it, will be up in the air. Sturm's getting a little more credit for the stoppage than he deserves.

Wow, I am shocked. I thought Sturm was waaaay over the hill. And I ripped him for promising we will see a 'new' Sturm. Boy was he right and I was wrong. He looked sharp, mean and willing to trade from the opening bell. No hiding behind his defense with the occasional peek-a-boo.

Good stuff. Hopefully Barker recovers well for a good rematch in England.

Mein Gott! Get real. There will be no rematch.
And if there was the only thing that would be up in the air would be the soles of Barkers boots.

None of these guys are bums. If his hip went first round, it shows the guts the guy had just to go out in the second round.

Geale beat Sturm in his own backyard, he definitely is no bum.

They are not as good as prime Bernand Hopkins, but how many middleweights are? Are you saying that all apart from the top 10 middleweights of all time are bums?

You definitely know the bums by what they post.

Rematch in July according to Eddie. People talking like it was a Froch-Bute beatdown, and it wasn't. I was never high on Barker, he seemed least durable of the four UK fighters, but Sturm didn't just walk over him. Before the first knock down it was back and fourth. Anyone's hip goes out, you're f*cked in a fight.

The rematch means a lot of money to Darren, also chance for redemption. It'll happen if he's medically cleared. As long as he stays injury free during the rematch, I expect it to be a close affair.

Same thing happen in Martinez-Murray. Sergio had multiple injuries during the fight and people now think he's washed up and that Murray's a top level MW (which kind of conflict?). Disagree on both accounts. Sergio should return to good form and Murray is waiting to be exposed as more of a 10-20 than top 10.

Barker's trainer said straight after the fight that "it is unlikely you will ever see Barker in a ring again because of his injuries". Eddie Hearn said the same.

No chance of him fighting again imo, especially as he once quit boxing before.
