Barker just got embarrassed and will likely retire.

Froch took a beating but held on, yet Eddie won't make the big £££ with the GG rematch. Carl is also within a year of retiring.

Kell will get shown up when he fights someone in the top 5.

His current crop of youngsters will need a few more years to be household names...

Not looking great for him, IMO.

He is on a bit of a sticky wicket. Things up in the air with Groves. Quigg jury out Burns bad injury. Bellew who knows what will happen moving up.

Froch maybe call it a day.

He looked shocked on Sky Think that's the end for Barker which is a real shame but the body is not gonna be right.

Kell could be his jewell early 2014

2014 maybe Eddie will fast track Luke and Joshua.

He can't really sign Groves until Froch is retired, he alluded to that in a recent iFL interview. His best hope with Groves is that he keeps winning and doesn't sign with anyone (unlikely).

Hearn really needs to weigh up his options regarding Froch who seems to have stated "You can't sign Groves whilst I'm with Matchroom". Froch has two fights in him at best and likely will lose one of those (either to Ward or Groves). If I was Hearn I'd call Froch's bluff and sign Groves. Froch has limited options in this country promotion wise and his stock outside of Nottingham is at an all time low. Lock Groves into a contract now before he signs with someone else.

I expect Hearn not to re sign the likes of Stalker (harsh as it sounds) and other fighters who frankly are not going anywhere fast. He'll probably have a smaller stable going forward which would benefit both Matchroom and Sky as for character building.

Eddie is putting the kinda fights on that ****** seemed to protect his fighters from and we all hated it watching our guys against shite opposition. If that causes Eddie to lose business and fade away then can we really blame guys like ****** for their style of matchmaking? Its a bit of a catch 22 and as much as I prefer to see tougher opposition for our fighters it seems british promoters are a dying breed. maybe you need as much ££££ as goldenboy or toprank to survive in this game afterall. Thats not a rant, just an observation

As long as he has Sky he's just fine. I see no real cause for concern.

Would be certainly be nice to see him up his game on his undercards though.

Can't say I'm surprised. Just look at the Barker VS Luftwaffe weigh in.

One looks like a 3-4 times World Champion, the other looks like someone you used to sit next to in Maths.

Absolutely pisspoor performance rendering that ringside Middleweight debate defunct.

UK-wise I reckon Murray's the best of 'em and Barker the worst. (Did long before the fight)

Re: Fast Eddie he's really ****ed up, it's all about making a quick buck. Bellew par example.

Since I've followed boxing as more than a casual, this year has really made the Brits look like utter dunces, much to the amusement of the 1-44 IQ Brigade in the general forum. Poor.

Yes he has Sky but how many more poor shows can he put on?? Sky shows 90% of the time are boring and very predictable. People think Eddie is the saviour I don't see that.. Poor shows, poor matchmaking and poor decisions that about sums up Matchroom boxing

martin murray is overrated. he looks good against an aged martinez and everyone is hard over him, he'd get beat by fighters like rosado and curtis stevens.

Maybe mate, but Murray seems to be the only one that shows any gumption. (UK-wise).

Also, them 2 hours of pre-fight Barker worship were truly cringealiscious (apart from Glenn McCrory almost buying a **** hat)

Another Hearns hype ended. He needs Groves more than Groves needs him.

Hearn is vice chairman at Orient, also probably involved in the Darts and Snooker with his dad.

Brought this up in the week-never expected Barker to be such a let down. Injury didnt help but writing was on the wall.

I expect Eddie to sign Andy Lee & Murray still. Still think he has signed up too much mediocrity.
