Gennady Golovkin to Face Osumanu Adama in Monte Carlo on Feb 1st

Golovkin doesn't deserve stick for this. The huge amount of Middleweight's that want none of him do.

 

Well, apparently GGG was supposed to fight Adama this past November. They dropped him though for Stevens (and paid Stevens a lot more than they would Adama), which I think is to their credit as Stevens was a much more credible danger. (though hometown NY ticket sales at MSG probably had more to do with it than anything)

 

No. You're looking at it wrong. If his skills are so lacking. Wouldn't champions like Sturm, Geale, and Martinez be tripping over themselves to fight GGG? Wouldn't they be thinking, "Wow, the WBA belt is a walk in the park to take away from this GGG guy. Just look at his resume." They aren't though, are they? Instead they are forfeiting belts instead of fighting him (both Sturm and Geale gave up the WBA belt rather than fight GGG). So you, my friend, are the only one looking at it wrong. If GGG were the fighter you say, his WBA mandatory Murray would be chomping at the bit to fight him instead of passing on fights, as would champs like Martinez and Barker to unify the belts and gain more fame, notoriety, and money from having multiple belts, but they aren't. That says way more than this resume you keep bringing up that is the product of everyone ducking him.

 

Err, so Golovkin is the only one in the game fighting average fighters? The rest are fighting all-time greats?

 

I am no groupie. I am simply a boxing analyst for gambling purposes and do quite well at beating the casino. I also have 20 years in martial arts, so I know thing or two about technique, defense, and combat, which helps me analyze the skill of fighters. I'm not full of **** on anything. I've stated facts about those who have ducked GGG. It's not ****, it's varifiable fact. Look it up. Why would champions refuse to fight GGG when he was their mandatory challenger if he was a chump? Why would other champs refuse unification fights if GGG was an easy ticket to another belt for a champion? Why, indeed. If GGG was the fighter you claim he is, people should be lining up to part him from his WBA/IBO belts. Lining up.

 

Who he beat is a matter of record. How he beat them is impressive. Yes, I get it, you're not sold, you've said so time and time again - don't you get bored?

Some people (including most pundits) are able to recognise his talent, you obviously aren't.

But that's OK, it's really not important.

 

Why do good poster's take the time to compose articulate retorts, some of which are quite thoroughb knowing they will not be comprehended nor even read by their intended target?

Well, I've said all I needed to say on the matter. Those of us who know the sport may learn something from what I've written, and idiots will continue being idiots. I can't fix that, all I can do expose their idiocy to the more informed fans (if the idiocy wasn't already obvious).
