Did you even watch the fight?

In the corner before the round where Tapia was tkoed, it was obvious Glen was out of it, probably didn't even know where he was. The doctor was called over, and glen didn't say anything to him, his trainer however was barking at the doctor saying his fighter was fine, and how he was going to KO Kirkland in this round, and how he better not stop it.

So who's to blame, the fighter who was complete gone, and more or less napping in the corner, or the trainer who forced him out in that final round?

If he was good to go, than why is he in the trauma center? Why did the doctor let Mago-Perez go on?

I see your dumb and pig headed, no point arguing with you

Your blind, unquestioning, child-like faith in the medical system is heart-warming...but in this case, it's probably misguided. Tapia clearly wasn't as responsive as he should have been, but the doctor failed to take notice of this during his examination of the fighter.

Did anyone see when Smoger tried to stop it Tapia put his hands down then Kirkland got a free shot, as soon as that shot landed I know something bad was gonna happen to him

Why have doctors if the fighter should be the one to decide to fight on or quit? Why have refs?

You obviously don't have a competitive bone In ur body. There isn't a high level athlete (especially combat sports athlete) out there who would quit in a fight, if they had a quitters mentality, they would never make it to a high level in sports. That's why you surround urself with a team that cares for ur safety and health, and that's why u have doctors and refs, to stop the fight when it starts becoming dangerous for a fighters health. A fighter shouldn't be the one to call the fight off, because if they come to fight with that mentality they will get smoked. That's why the corner should look out for them

The corner should have stopped it after the 5th. He was done. I thought Smoger was watching carefully and jumped in at the right time, but that last shot Kirkland snuck in as Smoger was separating them looked dangerous. Tapia had already dropped his gloves since Smoger had jumped in and wasn't ready for that last punch. Kirkland is a POS for that one. It looked like Smoger was holding him up and didn't want to let go for fear that Tapia would collapse. Kirkland should be fined.
