Rigo is your typical Cuban with his style. It is not meant to generate fanfare, it is meant to generate "wins."

this is the same agbeko that beat darchinyan easily. that got robbed against mares. rigondeaux made him look like an amateur. let that register in your pea brain for a minute or two... he took a world class fighter and made him look harmless.

    John Ruiz anyone?

And although he was ahead of his time, has anyone sat thru a Jack Johnson fight? He was god-awful on the eyes.

i love rigo fights, but he is boring there is no defending it. Guys here defending him are like spur fans. spurs are boring ass hell but they can play beautiful basketball.

Great analogy. Rigo is boxing's version of The Spurs. Unless he's fighting an intriguing opponent, his fights are almost unwatchable.

Sorry but I actually like watching high level skills on display. Throwing over 800 punches? And a lot of the punches had heavy steam behind them. Too bad Agbeko became reluctant to throw and went into survival mode. It felt kind of bad for Agbeko he was severely outclassed.
With that said, guys that I find very boring and not worth watching are those who make a fight ugly with excessive clinching and poor technique ...John Molina is a good example.

I actually like watching the Spurs. Duncan may be a bland and boring personality but I like watching his moves and footwork in the post.

Donaire was favored for a reason in his fight against Rigo. Donaire is talented, has an amazing left hook and very fast on his feet. He fought Rigo with an injured right shoulder and due to time conflicts could only train with Garcia over the phone. Even with all that, Donaire still dropped Rigo in the 10th round and almost finished him off there.
