Im sure he was thorough, just as Im sure the numbers will increase for every champion if I could have used every monthly issue. Why do you think he was thorough though? Does it better fit what you want the numbers to look like?

What is you point about Byrds top 3 opponents? You still miss the point. Being in the top 10 and being willing to fight top 10 fighters strengthens an era, even todays dismal era using Byrds numbers. Funny thing is as a contender he's a split era fighter, meaning he's fought in over lapping era's, and fought 2 of the 3 fighters you named in LL's era.

Don't worry though, that doesn't change my opinion about Byrds resume helping the Klitschko era.

LOL WTF are you jabbering about :nut
    Byrd?
He was a small, and agile HW for this era. And he did fight at 200+ lbs.

If Byrd was a "blown up MW", then the HWs of the so called golden eras were fighting blown up Welters and MWs

Seems you need to put the crack pipe down...
try easing yourself down w/some hemp :yep

that Vitali got stopped by a mini-me, to put it mildly

All opponents being slightly smaller HWs in the golden era DOESNT explain why Vitali got stopped by a former MW. Golden age HWs fighting each other at similar weights has absolutely ZERO bearing on Vitali losing to someone of a much lighter natural weight and much smaller.

Try to think before you reply next time.

No it is NOT from a letter. I'm considering going to my local library and getting as many old back issues of the Ring magazine on microfiche that I can and posting the most telling articles and many of you will see that the fighters whom you consider "skilled" and "great" were considered pathetic when they were active.

    :yep

It's true. The heavyweight division has always stunk. Until the fighters in question have been retired a few years. Does anybody believe that the heavyweight division will be "better" ten years from now, or 20 years from now? Posting some Holmes vs Cooney era articles about the heavyweight division would probably be a great way of making sport of certain posters here.

I can't believe that this era is supposed to be worse than the Jersey Joe Walcott era, The Bum of the Month era, The Marciano Era etc. The Don King Owns the Heavyweight Division Era.

Lol, what consequences? I already answered this question. Whats really funny though, since you think you're smart, is most of Byrds top 10 fights came during the Lewis era, not Wlad's! Tell me now....Am I lying? He has 10 top 10 fights. His fights with Ibeabuchi, Vittles, Wlad, Tua, Holyfield and Oquendo came during the Lewis era. His fights with Golota, McCline, Wlad and Povetkin came during the Wlad era. :hi:

You talk about obsessed? 12 of your 16 posts are directed at me. None trying to talk boxing, but rather begging for my attention. You talk about banned? You're banned from there right now and get banned more often than any other poster there. And kid, this isn't a Vittles thread. You just want to believe that every time you can't argue against my points. :yep

The Klitschkos are the very best heavyweights fighting today..................I hate to see Vitali retire, but the haters of Eastern European fighters will celebrate because Vitali and Vlad keep beating up all their heroes...........

The cause is that he has his panties in a bunch due to two East Euro brothers dominating the HW div. Not sure about his agenda

Personally I think its great that HW division when east euro/ west Asian. It enriches the sport to have the axis shift around the globe rather than having one country yielding the best. it gives the history of the sport a global feel.

Provide a source thats not your opinion or else its not beyond any doubt.

Purrity , Brewster , Sanders are better than Wlad. Lewis and Byrd better than Vitali. That you can prove beyond any doubt.

    so Purrity is the GOAT.

see, the Klits have displaced Louis and Ali, in a weird way.

he was that night, but then he got poleaxed by Lewis straight after., proving it was a temporary blip.

remind of when Wlad avenged his losses to prove he was better, if ever.

    take your time.
