This fight is gonna be announced in the new year, probably for May 3rd Mayweather-Khan card. :deal

Neither guys have anyone else they can fight, the biggest money fight for both outside of a fight with Floyd Mayweather is them fighting each other. :yep

I predict Lucas takes the rematch, the stars aligned for Garcia back in September, Matthysse under-performed and still ran it close and was whoopin that Rican ass before the eye closed :good

Both guys actually have several guys they could fight...

For example Matthysse will probably fight Maidana after he gets robbed at weekend.

Garcia meanwhile has a number of options at Welterweight such as Robert Guerrero, Shawn Porter, Devon Alexander and Paul Malignaggi, and if he stops at JWW Lamont Peterson or Dierry Jean winner.

I was hoping for this. The first was a unexpected barnburner with an for many people (including me) unexpected winner.
With the KD being the deciding factor at the end.

Was hoping they would have a rematch.

Awesome, hope matthysse wins this to set up the rubber match. 1st one was extremely close and matthysse looked to be getting into a rhythm before Garcia busted his eye up, hopefully they give us another great fight.

There are plenty of other fights the problem is promotional companies. As far as ass whippings go....it was a competitive fight and Danny just started to pull away with his counters, your delusional if you think Lucas was dominating the fight. That said I wouldn't mind seeing the bout since it was entertaining. I don't ***** and moan like most biased fans and I respect both guys abilities. I'd imagine Danny would win more convincingly this time around since he clearly has more layers to his game when compared to Lucas. Of course Lucas always has his power as the ultimate equalizer.

Good. The first fight showed that Garica will get dirty to win. Matthysse still made it close without getting dirty in response. The rematch should be different. Looking forward to this.

Dominated in the second half, which just happened to be the period after the hematoma. :blood

Is that really not sinking in for you? :think

Had it been that dominant for Garcia from the start, then it would be different. A rematch would be unnecessary. The fact that Garcia came nowhere close to dominating and in fact was getting the worst of things in the 1st half means that yes absolutely the immediate rematch is necessitated and should have been seen as imperative as of September 15th.
