    I know, its incredible.
Wasnt there a top Scottish cyclist (Chris Hoy??? or something) who said :

    "When I win I'm "British". When I lose I'm "Scottish!" :p :p

or is that an urban myth??

Felix Sturm beat a disabled Darren. That's what was in front of him and that's what he beat. Not Felix's fault but hardly the sort of win that catapults him up the rankings. Plenty of good fights to be made if Felix has the guts but I fear he'll hold the belt hostage again feasting on sub par opposition

Dont you get any sense at all that maybe just maybe the whole "disabled Darren" thing is/was a bit, just a bit ....fishy?..not on the level?.

Isnt it amazing that Darrens hip went in the very 1st round???
Surely if he was that delicate he was not fit to box?
In which case the whole fight was a charade...and WE are the suckers.

His Kamikaze tactics right from the first bell raise my suspicions just a bit.

If this is true then Darren/Hearn/Sky have questions to answer.
Its up to us to hold them to account.

Its understandable you feel that way Dan.:p It was a bit antagonistic of me alright. But that was the hook to get your attention..and it worked, obviously!

Shame you didnt read a bit more - you missed the real point I was trying to make..

By the way several others have also condemned my post, but none of them, not one, (bar you) had any problem at all with the guy saying he hopes I get cancer!

Interesting insight into people that, innit?

I think those poor sods who travelled are the suckers. Kamikaze is exactly right. Barker surely was crocked. And frankly if the damage to his hip was already done, he was firing back nicely, don't throw the towel in, let the ****er go down guns blazing!

I don't mean this to sound unpleasant, but the whole "I did it for Gary" theme was so overdone before the Geale fight and in the aftermath it started to put me off Barker. Where's the dignity? It's your private grief man.

Barker does not seem like a man who was surprised by what happened in the fight. Something stinks.

U r Spot on there I feel. The total lack of surprise from Darren was unreal.

The Kamikaze attack approach...it was like he knew he was on a shot to nothing and was doomed anyway so he decided to give it the guns and go out in a blaze of glory.
Since when has Darren Barker ever fought like that, never mind against a man of Sturms calibre?

Afterwards He WALKED from the ring. This is a million-dollar athlete we are talking about here.
If you had a racehorse with a serious injury you would not let it walk. Why not wait for a wheelchair/stretcher? they just shrugged and walked away.....

Cant help but wonder if "nice guy" Darren and "fast car" Eddie have sold us all a very dodgy banger dressed up as a GTX model?

You are not being unpleasant at all. The only unpleasant thing is the unpleasant odour of fish emanating from the fight HnH.
Serious questions need to be asked here.

Very suspicious to be sure the goings on here but your "I told you so" is a bit over the top,Dude.
Never the less,Fast Car and Barker appear to be very satisfied with this hustle.
I don't wish the OP cancer, however,I do wish a little humility into his life.

If Barker went into the fight with a known existing serious injury, one that they knew rendered him unfit, (and there is mounting evidence of this being the case) then they have pulled a very nasty trick on all the fans who pay their Sky subscription - and moreso the poor sods who spent their hard-earned loot travelling over to see the fight.

I don't think that is in doubt. I think barker knew he was injured and prob wouldn't fight again and cashed in on what for him was a massive purse. I just really hope Sturm doesn't hold the belt hostage and duck worthy fighters or be on the receiving end of any more dubious decisions

If Barker was unfit to fight - and they knew he was unfit - then this is FRAUD.
Simple as, end of. There is no innocent explanation - they conned the fans.
    This needs to be investigated.

" .....Barker will definitely out-battle him"....!!!!

There are plenty of other sports you could follow joe - they're all pretty much the same you know...darts? chess?....:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
