Theoretically speaking, is it possible that Barker knew very well that he had this injury and only went to Germany to pick up a final pay check? He really was not beaten by Sturm that bad, he was doing pretty well until the stoppage. After round one he signed to his corner he was in pain. The corner knew what was up and threw the towel in in the second round. If this was the case it also makes sense why the fight was held in Germany, where Sturm's team was able to pay him more than what he would have got in the UK regardless of the rematch clause, which they already knew was not going to happen... Immediately after the fight they said Barker's career was practically over. How do you know that? It took only two rounds... Did he not spar at all? Of course that's not the same, but I mean... Is it fair from a fighter to do such thing, if it really is what happened here?
Sturm was pushin his **** in from the first bell, fake or not he was always gonna get his ass whooped out in Stuttgart. His glass hip definitely didn't take much falling apart, he looked like he was playing hop scotch when he got up from the second KD PATHETIC!
Barker was inflicted with a serious burden that effected his ability to sustain a punch. His hip went out which made him unable to roll with punches.
Thank you brother :thumbsup we will continue to blow smoke up Sturm's arse for many years to come :tong
is a hip injury really pathetic? what do you know about them? that said it hasn't not crossed my mind that the result may have been a stitch up.
Had it also not crossed your mind the fact that Barker didn't seem too unhappy in his post-fight interview the day after, he was eagerly looking forward to the breakfast buffet and described himself as "happy" This fight has "dodgy" written all over it :think
Correct me if im wrong maybe im mixing up a different fighter but didn't Narker already have this injury before, if he did its very possible that he would get it again
It might be very possible, and I am not questioning his injury, only the fact that he didn't really come to fight. He showed up for the pay check and left
